2:04am–Bridgeport–Strong armed robbery at PT Barnum Housing Building 15. Victim robbed of $200 and roughed up. Police caught him outside building 8.

7:10pm–Bridgeport/Fairfield–Fairfield Police had their hands full tracking a teen with a large stick threatening the employees at News Express on Tunxis Hill (near Villa). At about the same time Bridgeport Police were looking for a male who was threatening employees at the market on the corner of Arctic Street and East Main Street.

‎3:32pm–#Fairfield–Get off my lawn! Lady on Dorothy Street yelling a kids from Stratfield School. Police investigating.

‎3:20pm–#Bridgeport #ctfire–High carbon monoxide levels at 120 Glenwood Ave. which is a 3 story apartment building. Fire department evacuating building and investigating source. UPDATE– ‎3:32pm–Glad to report a quick recall on this. No one sent to the hospital.

3:19pm–#Fairfield–One in custody for shoplifting at Marshall’s on the Post Road.

‎1:14pm–Weston–Propane leak inside 21 Sliver Ridge Commons. Occupants evacuated fire department on the way.

‎11:49am–#Stratford–Two men from New Hampshire arrested for stealing metal from a construction site on Ferry Boulevard behind BJ’s.

Drive By Shooting Park Ave. & Austin St. Bridgeport

Shots ran out shortly after 1:30pm

Shortly after 1:30 police responded to a drive by shooting on Park Avenue and Austin Street that sent at least one person to the hospital with a gunshot wound Monday afternoon.  The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.    Police are investigating.

Fight at the Jennings Beach Skate Park-Fairfield

We have obtained exclusive video from the altercation that took place Thursday. The video shows

Police investigation continues
the verbal exchange and assaults between an off duty Trumbull police officer and several teens. It is reported that teens were “doing doughnuts” in the parking lot with their car and the officer attempted to stop the teens. The cell phone footage in the beginning of the video is what took place after the teens got out of their cars. Police are investigating additional videos including surveillance videos from the skate park. In the video you can see the off duty officer’s children scurry to their car as the exchange escalated. The case remains under investigation.

3 Shot in Bridgeport

3:08am–Bridgeport–Police and EMTs responded to Stratford Avenue and Hollister Avenue for shots fired with a person down. When they arrived they found no one at the scene. Shortly afterward they received word that two people were driven to Bridgeport Hospital in private vehicles. The hospital called that there were shots fired outside the hospital and that a crowd had gathered, they quickly dispersed. One victim was shot in the leg and the other took one or two shots to the abdomen and he is listed in serious condition. At 3:44am a third victim was brought to St. Vincent’s Hospital with a gunshot to the abdomen as well, his condition is unknown at this time.

2nd Brawl in 6 Days At Sky Hookah Lounge In Fairfield

2nd Fight in 6 Days
Shortly after 1am police were called to the Sky Hookah Lounge for a fight inside the lounge located at 689 Kings Highway East. This is the second brawl in 6 days in or around the lounge. Tonight witnesses told us two individuals went at it and the brawl grew to about 20 involved. Management of the lounge tried to prevent us from recording and we greatly appreciate the Fairfield Police Officers who immediately come to our side to allow us to do our job and report to you what took place. Police were also there Thursday night for a late night noise complaint from neighbors.

Fire on Norman St. Bridgeport


At 1:41am Bridgeport Police received word of a living room fire at 1211 Norman Street on the second floor. Firefighters stretched two fire hoses to attack the blaze and contain it to the second floor. Firefighters conducted a primary and secondary search for any victims and found nothing. Firefighters remain on the scene past 3am overhauling the fire to ensure no other fire might break out. The fire marshal was called to the scene and the Red Cross had to relocate 4 adults with temporary housing.

2:00am–Bridgeport–3 arrested after a fight inside a club at the corner of East Main Street and Maple Street.

1:15am–Fairfield–An outdoor smoking receptacle catches outside of house on Orchard Hill Drive, fire extends up the side of the house. Homeowner battles the blaze with a garden hose after calling 911. Fire was out when fire department arrives, fire did not extend behind the siding.

12:57am–#Stratford #ctfire report of a chimney fire on 2065 Cutspring Road. Fire department on the way. Twists and turns inside the chimney’s design gave firefighters a challenge extinguishing the hot embers. Firefighters remained on scene for about two hours.

‎6:18pm–#Fairfield–#Southport–Fire department on scene at the 200 block Harbor Road for a house full of smoke due to the fireplace damper being closed while in operation.

2:10am–Bridgeport–Homeowner holds down burglar at 154 Bond Street on the 1st floor. A Hispanic male wearing a ski mask and and leather jacket was detained by the homeowner and it carried out to the backyard when police arrived and took him into custody.

1:41am–Bridgeport–Report of a living room fire at 1211 Norman Street.

1:05am–Oxford–Report of a motor vehicle fatality on Route 67 near Valley Road and two others transport to Waterbury Hospital with unknown injuries. The fatality was pinned against a building. Police are investigating.

9:15pm–#Stratford–A stabbing just occurred at 49 McGrath Court, victim was stabbed in the abdomen.UpdateHamden Police are at a location in their town in connection with the McGrath Court stabbing.

4:42pm–Fairfield–Petco, in the Whole Food Plaza on Grasemere Ave. reports that items were stolen from their donation bin and they have it on video. This happened around 2:00pm today.

4:37pm–Bridgeport Stratford power outage reported by @GregRizz on our Twitter Feed.

4:36pm–Fairfield–Report of copper piping taken from the basement at a house in the 800 block of Birdseye Street.

4:33pm–Bridgeport–Not our kid! Precious Memories Child Care at 485 Burnsford Avenue reporting to police an adult dropped off a 3 year old but the child isn’t one of their students and the don’t who the child is.

4:28pm–Fairfield–Hit and run accident on Post Road and Fairfield Place, minor injuries reported. Police are looking for a silver older model Forerunner with heavy front end damage.

1:10am–Bridgeport–Police quickly break up a street fight on Pequonnock St and Harral Ave.

12:29am–Milford #cttraffic–State police were in pursuit of vehicle on I-95 near exit 35. Speeds exceeded 100 mph, driver is now in custody.

11:00–Berlin–Police were called to 18 Peck Street for a domestic dispute. When officer entered the residence a man opened fire on officers. Police returned fire critically injuring the shooter. He is hospitalized at Hartford Hospital. No officers were injured. Ct State’s Attorney’s Office were called to the scene. UPDATE Man was shot in the right femur into the left femur and also shot in the right arm.

12:02am—Fire department on scene at Old Black Rock Turnpike and Sasapequan Rd for smoke in the residence. Police responded to an audible alarm and saw smoke or dust on the 2nd floor, can’t confirm. FD investigating.

Skate Park Melee in Fairfield

Police sort info from numerous witnesses

Around 5:10pm Thursday afternoon police were called initially for what appeared to be a man grabbing and assaulting kids at the skate park at Jennings Beach. Witnesses tell us that the man came to the park to pick up his son, when he refused to get in the car the skaters attacked the man. I’ve contacted Fairfield Police and they are still trying to sort the story from numerous witnesses. One youth was taken to checked for a back injury, his condition is unknown a this time. As with all breaking news information and facts often change, we will keep you posted as we get more information.
