Bridgeport News: Cop Injured During Chase
12:11pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A Bridgeport Police Officer was injured during a chase on Beechwood Avenue. Police told me the suspect was under a DEA drug investigation. He was apprehended at 570 Beechwood Avenue. The officer may have run into something as he had a sizable gash across his forehead that will required stitches.

1:04am–#Bridgeport Connecticut–Off duty police officer living on Exeter Street catches two burgulars breaking into his home and has them detained according to radio reports. On duty officers on the way.

Prayers For Water Rescue
5:28pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut–First responders were called to Seaside Park for a paddle boater who drifted out too far. Fairfield and Bridgeport Marine Units have been scouring the area since. Suffolk County brought in a helicopter to aid in the search from the air. Fire chief at 8:30pm that they will give the search another hour. Witnesses told me that the man’s wife and minister were on scene praying. Please do the same.

UPDATE: We have two water rescues going on. The man at Pleasant Beach has been rescued. There is a second missing man in the water at Seaside Park and so far there is no sign of him.
5:15pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A man in a inflatable boat was reported to be in the water and drifting out to sea near the lighthouse near Captains Cove. Radio reports now say he is near Pleasure Beach. Fairfield marine unit is assisting Bridgeport in the rescue.

3:49pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut–4 teens attempted to rob 2 elderly people near the 7-11 Firehouse at 245 Ocean Terrace according to radio reports. Police on the way.

Water Rescues
11:01am– Two water rescues at the same time in different towns. First one came in in Norwalk for a paddle boater off Calf Pasture Beach. The second one came in a minute later at Penfield Beach for an over turned small boat over turned and the boater clinging to its side.
