1:17pm–#Trumbull Connecticut– Lawn equipment was stolen from the 1000 block of Daniels Farm. Police are looking for a white Chevy or GMC pick up with an extended cab. A leaf blower was taken.

12:42pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A house break in in the 600 block of William Street. The suspect fled into the backyard and ran onto Berkshire Avenue. Police are looking for a tall black male wearing a baseball cap, white USA t-shirt and jeans. He was carrying pipes in his hand when he fled.
11:40am–#Trumbull Connecticut–A child on a bicycle was hit by a car on Matthew Drive. He was wearing a helmet and only received minor scrapes on this arms and legs.
11:31pm–#Trumbull Connecticut– An older man with a gray beard wearing a plaid shirt attempted to gain entry into a Country Lane resident’s home to “take pictures”. The woman denied him entry and called police. The man is driving a beat up silver 4 door Honda.
On May 13, 2016 at 1159 hours, Detectives Montagna, Martocchio and Palatiello were driving in the area of Madison Avenue/ Frank street when they heard several shots fired, and observed a male perpetrator fleeing the scene.
Detectives Martocchio and Palatiello pursued the perpetrator on foot and Detective Montagna drove to Madison Avenue/Grand Street to intercept him. Detective Montagna located the perpetrator identified as Deonte Tomlinson (10/8/96) and
he was detained without incident.
Fatally wounded in the shooting is Kahlil Sloan-Diaz (3/4/98). Sloan-Diaz was sitting in his vehicle in front of 295/297/299 Madison Avenue when he was shot. After the shooting he fled the vehicle to the corner of Madison Avenue/ Frank Street and was transported by AMR to St. Vincent’s Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
Tomlinson was initially charged with an outstanding Violation of Probation warrant with a bond of $50,000. This evening, Tomlinson was charged with the murder of Sloan-Diaz and the charges are as follows:
53a-54a Murder, 29-35 Carrying a pistol w/o a permit, 29-36
Altering ID marks of a firearm and 53-203 Unlawful discharge
of a firearm. Bond is set at $1,000,000.
Due to the observations and quick thinking of Detectives Montagna, Martocchio, Palatiello as well as the fast response of uniformed and Detective Bureau personnel, Tomlinson was quickly taken into custody. The weapon and clothing believed to be used in this incident were also located within minutes of the crime being committed.
2:22am–#Fairfield Connecticut–@FairfieldU–Report of a large crowd at the library that refuses to leave, many in the water fountain according to radio reports. Fairfield Police requested to the scene.
2:15am–#Bridgeport Connecticut–Tonight’s vehicle fire is at Charles and Harvard Street. Two people were seen running from the car after the fire started according to radio reports.

10:18pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut–How about some likes for a rescue? Two senior citizens in their 70’s won’t forget this Friday the 13th. They were on their boat docked at the East End Yacht Club at 104 Bay Street when they both fell into the water. A witness told me that Gary Gilligan, a staff member rescued them from the water. They both suffered from hypothermia, the water temperature is in the low 50’s Fahrenheit. They were transported to the hospital EMS.
6:40pm–#Fairfield Connecticut– A lacrosse player has been hit in the face with a lacrosse stick and has lacerations and bleeding at Warde High School on Melville Avenue. EMS on the way.
