UPDATE: Police have one suspect detained after tazing him at Main and North Street. I did hear the officer tell him to get down when calling for back up. Did he listen? Nooooo!
12:00am–#Bridgeport CT–Police are looking for a gold minivan in connection to a robbery and assault on Stratford Avenue and Baldwin Street. The minivan then fled onto I-95. It was first thought the woman was hit by the van.
Troopers from Troop H are currently investigating a report of a missing/endangered runaway juvenile from the town of East Granby. The 15 year old child, Angelica Moquete, was last seen on April 10, 2015 at 7:00am and was reported missing last night by her parents at 9:14pm.
The juvenile may have possibly entered a four door older sedan, color silver/gray (unknown make or model) and may possibly be in route to the state of New York. Angelica Moquete DOB: 9/6/99 is described as a white Hispanic female, 5’6” tall, 110 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a picture of the Eiffel Tower and the word “Paris” on it, black leggings with a rose print on them A Silver Alert was issued last night and anyone who knows of her whereabouts is encouraged to call the Connecticut State Police -Troop H at 860-534-1000 or the East Granby Resident Trooper’s Office at 860-653-5385. All calls will be kept confidential.
3:16pm–#Bridgeport CT– A 58 year old man was shot and killed in a robbery attempt at the Sapiao’s Grocery on Lexington Avenue at the corner of Linen Avenue. Police said two men entered the store and shots were fired. Multiple witnesses have told me it is the store owner but police have NOT confirmed this.
UPDATE: Evacuating one of the buildings for an exterior attack only. Firefighters rescuing a person from another building. Police are evacuating a handicapped person from a house near the ones on fire. Explosions heard, possibly fireworks going off inside one of the houses.
1:40pm–#Milford CT–Firefighters on scene at Melba Street reporting 3 houses on fire. Mutual aid from West Haven on the way!
3:00am–#Bridgeport CT–Numerous calls for shots fired in the Court D- the Success Avenue area of town. So far no reports of anyone or anything hit. Police are just arriving on scene, no calls from Stratford just yet.
UPDATE: Police say themotorcycle was driven by Walter Mebane IV, 26, of Stamford and the Ford Escape SUV driven by Marie Staley, 33, of Monroe.
8:11pm–#Fairfield CT–Police are investigating a serious crash between a motorcycle and SUV at Post and Beach Road. The SUV was traveling west on the Post Road and was trying to make a left onto Beach Road. The motorcycle was traveling east on the Post Road when the SUV turned in front of the motorcyclist. The two women in the SUV were not injured. The motorcyclist taken to Bridgeport Hospital in serious condition. The driver is from Stamford but the motorcycle is registered in Fairfield police tell me. Please take a quick moment and say a quick prayer for the motorcyclist.
On 04-09-2015 Jonathan Lucky age 28 of Naugatuck CT was arrested following a narcotics investigation into alleged sales of heroin. During the investigation investigators from Stratford PD along with those from the Statewide Narcotics Task Force observed Lucky as he pulled into the parking lot of a Walgreens in Bridgeport. The information developed in the case led investigators to believe that Lucky would be there to conduct a drug transaction. Officers approached Lucky as he sat in his 2010 Jeep Cherokee. As the investigators made contact with him, Lucky attempted to flee, striking a parked vehicle. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
At the time of arrest Lucky was found to be in possession of $1,380 dollars and 1.18 pounds of heroin which was packaged in 2001 individual folds. Lucky was processed and charged with Possession of Heroin with Intent to Sell and held on a $500,000 dollar bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on 04-17-2015. The accident was investigated by the Bridgeport Police Department.
