Man Arrested for Selling Marijuana Near Central High School

#Bridgeport, CT – Oct. 25, 2013 – A city man faces charges that he sold marijuana near a city school.

Responding to an anonymous community complaint, the narcotics division this week set up surveillance on Herkimer Street to investigate drug sales. The dead-end street abuts the property of Central High School.

During the course of the investigation, Officer Miguel Perez observed two apparent drug deals. Police subsequently arrested Thomas Massey, 48, and seized a small amount of cash along with marijuana and paraphernalia. Massey, of 3 Herkimer St., faces charges of sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school.

11:40pm–#Fairfield CT–A man at the Hunan Pavillion at 80 Grasmere Avenue called police that he is having homicidal tendencies.  He has a pocket knife and police are trying to get him to put the knife down and walk out with his hands up.  UPDATE—The man surrendered minutes later and was transferred to a local hospital to be evaluated.
