5:37pm–#Bridgeport CT–A 1997 Chevrolet Malibu was just stolen with keys on Milne Street while being warmed up. Bridgeport Police Chief Gaudette has cautioned the public a number of times about this practice.

11:40am–#Trumbull CT–An elderly woman had her purse snatched while she was in her garage in the Madison Avenue/Blackhouse area. Police are looking for a white male wearing a beige jacket, knit hat, boots and black pants who fled on foot. State police are sending a K-9 to help in the search.

1:01am–#Trumbull CT–Police were called to West Wind Road where a resident called saying he came home and found an unknown man in his kitchen who fled. He then heard noises in his garage. Police arrived, set u p a perimeter around the house. A thorough search of the property and home turned up nothing. Police also had cars in the neighborhood but found nothing.

7ish–#Fairfield CT–Firefighters were called to the post office at Commerce Drive for an alarm. The post master called and reported the sprinkler system was activated. Firefighters had difficulty located the shutoff to the system. Firefighters tell me it the mail area in the back at the receiving bay where most of the mail is stored.

Westport, Connecticut: On Monday February 16, 2015 7 P.M., WPD responded to the intersection of Kings Highway North at Woodside Avenue for a reported armed robbery that just occurred. The victim stated at
approximately 1830 HRS, he was paid in cash after completing an electrical job at a bodega in Bridgeport. After being paid by the owner in front of several patrons of the store, the victim left and was driving to his
home in Norwalk at which time he was cut off by a dark blue or black Volkswagen (possibly a Passat or Jetta) at the intersection on Kings Highway North. An occupant of that vehicle exited the car and approached the
passenger side of the victim’s vehicle. The victim stated the suspect began to speak in Spanish to him asking him directions and then pointed a small handgun at him and entered his vehicle sitting in the passenger seat.
The suspect searched the victim inside the vehicle and recovered the cash he was just paid. The suspect then exited the victim’s vehicle, entered back into the VW and fled the area eastbound towards Wilton Road.
The suspect described as a dark skinned Hispanic male, 5’8” tall, lean build with a scar on the right side of his face extending from the corner of his lip upwards towards his ear. Suspect was wearing, dark colored clothing
and a dark colored “beanie type” winter cap. The handgun displayed was described as a small silver colored semi-automatic. Any individuals who were in that area and have information related to the above case, please contact the

7:11pm–#Westport CT–An armed robbery just occurred at Kings Highway and Woodside Avenue, a gun was used. Police are looking for two Domenican males one who had a scar on his face. They fled in a blue Volkswagen Passat on to the Merritt Parkway towards exit 41. The victim said he believes they followed him from Bridgeport. This is breaking news and I’m certain the details will change as police investigate. $4,000 in cash was taken.
