11:11pm–#Monroe CT–EMS and police were dispatched to St. Jude School at 700 Monroe Turnpike for a highly intoxicated 16 year old male. EMS called in that the male had to be restrained for being combative and they are receiving a police escort to the hospital. A large number of family members are following them to the hospital, security on notice.

2:26pm–#cttraffic–#Fairfield CT–Today’s car fire is in Fairfield on I-95 northbound rest area. The car is fully engulfed and isolated from other cars. Firefighters on the way.
Today is the last day people could use gift cards, store credits, or return items at Radio Shack, their bankruptcy goes into effect tomorrow. There are 59 Radio Shack’s in Connecticut.
#ctfire–#Seymour CT– 12 Clifton Street extensive house fire. Partial roof collapse with firefighters ordered out of the building for an exterior attack. 10:32pm–#Stratford CT–We don’t normally report on domestic fights but a Stratford man was involved in one with his wife. He fled in his car. The wife gave police turn by turn directions as she tracked him on his iPhone via iCloud. The man was arrested off Broadbridge Avenue.

Karim Skipworth, of 121 Hicks St., surrendered at Police Headquarters today on a warrant charging him with murder, carrying a pistol without a permit and criminal possession of a firearm. His bond was set at $1 million.
“Detectives investigating this case worked day and night since the incident,” said Police Chief Joseph L. Gaudett Jr. “We owed that to the family and to our city. Detectives pursued every lead and followed the evidence where it took them. That led us to the suspect. “The investigators did outstanding work.” The homicide squad led by Lt. Christopher LaMaine and Detectives Ada Curet, Dennis Martinez, Paul Ortiz, Robert Winkler and Heitor Teixeira secured the arrest warrant.
The homicide happened on Feb. 20, when Jose Lebron, 28, of Bridgeport, was fatally shot near the corner of William and Ogden streets. At the homicide scene, police recovered a BB gun in Lebron’s right hand and money in his left hand. Police also recovered cell phones in his possession and drugs in his possession and in his vehicle. One of the recovered cell phones belonged to Skipworth. The investigation revealed that Lebron arranged a meeting with Skipworth at Ogden Street and William Street on the night of the homicide. When Skipworth arrived, Lebron robbed him of his money and cell phone, detectives learned. As Lebron fled the area, Skipworth fired shots and fatally wounded him.
