5:40pm–#Bridgeport CT–One person has been detained after a brief manhunt on Lenox Avenue Mountain Grove area. A male 15-20 years of age robbed a woman of her Galaxy III phone at Howard and State Street area. He fled on foot down Fairfield Avenue towards Bassick Avenue. He ran between yards on Lenox and Mountain Grove and was found hiding in an abandoned home. The phone was recovered. Things that make you go hmmmmmm……This would be a boyhunt since he is under 21 and if you steal an Apple phone from a victim they call it Apple Picking. Is this Galaxy Picking?
12:59pm–#Fairfield News: In an update of a story you saw first on DoingItLocal–A woman was attempting to park her vehicle inside the lot of Dunkin Donuts, located at 1910 Black rock Turnpike, and her foot hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal. Her vehicle entered Black Rock Turnpike and collided with a painting van that had been traveling north on Black Rock Turnpike. The momentum from this collision caused the van to tip over and slide on its left side across the two north bound lanes.
The driver of the van got a ticket for no license. The operator of the car got a ticket for failure to drive right. No injuries reported. There was one male driver in the van and one female elderly driver in the car.

The program will begin in the Rotary Room at 1:30 pm. Klein will present a revolutionary methodology based on canine instincts for gaining your best friend’s Klein’s path to becoming a Dog Listener started when his family rescued a lab. Her behavioral challenges led him to discover Jan Fennell and her Foundation and Advanced Canine Communications courses. Through in home consultations and volunteer work with rescue organizations, Phil has helped hundreds of dogs and their owners make the most of their Advanced registration is required due to the limited space. #Bridgeport CT–On 04/08/15 State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force (SNTF) detectives from the South West office, executed a search and seizure warrant and an arrest warrant in Bridgeport. The warrants were obtained after SNTF detectives and local police officers from various police departments conducted a Detectives seized 6 grams of crack cocaine, 3.4 grams of Heroin, a Colt 45 handgun with an obliterated serial number, $1,952 US currency, and assorted drug paraphernalia. The accused was detained pending his court appearance. His bond was set at $200,000.
Arrested was David Dumond on 3 narcotic violations: Charges: Sale of Narcotics 21a-278(b) (3 counts), Possession of Narcotics WITS 21a-278(b), Possession of Narcotics w/ in 1500’ of a school 21a-278a (b) Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Ammo 53a-217, Alteration of a Firearm 29-36 and Drug Factory 212-277(c).
