Bridgeport News: Boat Flips Over 3 Rescued
5:35pm–#Bridgeport CT– Just after receiving a call of a house fire on Soundview Avenue firefighters were called for an overturned boat with people in the water off Govers Avenue at Black Rock Harbor. The fire boat and zodiac were launched and within a few moments the firefighters had the people rescued. There were actually two overturned boats. The one the people were onboard was already being towed by firefighters and was far off in the horizon even out of reach of my digital zoom. Special thanks to Garth Trotto for monitoring this situation while I covered the fire at Soundview Avenue.
Bridgeport News: Apartment Fire
5:29pm–#Bridgeport CT–Neighbors credit a fast response time by firefighters in keeping an apartment fire from spreading at 614 Soundview Avenue today. Firefighters were seeing venting the roof, the fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause.
Milford News: Fire at CT Post Mall
4:55pm–#ctfire–Firefighters are on scene of a fire in what sounds like the roof area of the CT Post Mall. They are working in the Macy’s at the Caramba’s Restaurant. No fire reported by smoke in a ventilation area.

1:56pm– #Bridgeport CT– #ctfire — Report of a large 40 acre brush fire in the area between Oakwood Street and Read School in Bridgeport. Read school has evacuated at this time due to smoke inside of the building.
Stratford News: Assault With a Knife
#Stratford CT–Stratford Police Press Release: On 04-28-2015 Officers responded to a report of a fight in the area of 1621 West Broad Street. Upon arrival officers found a man lying on the sidewalk. He had been stabbed and officers called EMS to respond. During the investigation the victim identified his attacker as Daniel Dzwonkowski. Dzwonkowski was located by Bridgeport and Stratford officers a short time later. Dzwonkowski was subsequently arrested for the assault. Dzwonkowski and the victim were arguing over money. Dzwonkowski, age 24 of Milford was charged with Assault in the First Degree, Carrying a dangerous Instrument and Tampering with Evidence. He was held on a $100,000 dollar bond.
The victim was listed in serious condition.
