Bridgeport News: Man Shot

,Bridgeport Police Press Release: Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that took place shortly after 9:00PM last night at 26 Ohio Avenue.
The victim, 22-year-old Juvontee Tinsley of Bridgeport, was in serious condition when he arrived at Bridgeport Hospital last night. He has since been pronounced dead.
According to witnesses, Mr. Tinsley walked over to speak with someone in a car parked at the Ohio Avenue address. One of the occupants of the car shot Mr. Tinsley in the chest.
Following the shooting, the car fled east on Ohio Ave and drove through a yard at the dead end. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on East Main Street.
Mr. Tinsley is suspected of firing shots at a house (69 Velvet Street) just a few hours before the shooting took place.

UPDATE: I spoke with a Bridgeport Police Department spokesperson and he says the suspect is in serious condition at Bridgeport Hospital. According to police the suspect is an African American male and was wearing a red baseball hat (I’ve seen police make arrests on even less details) and he was seen shaking hands with the victim prior to the shooting. The suspect fled in a gray or tan newer Cholesterol Malibu.

9:40pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police are investigating a shooting on Ohio Avenue, right off East Main Street, about a block from the shooting at Big Daddy’s Deli two weeks ago.  Witnesses tell me that a person drove up to another car and started arguing and then multiple shots rang out.  The car was to the right of the attached photo but I did not show it because police were still talking to witnesses and I don’t photograph witnesses.  One person was struck in the stomach and rushed to Bridgeport Hospital in traumatic arrest according to radio reports.  This is breaking news and all information is subject to change as new information is investigated by police.
