Westport Police Athletic League 2015 Fireworks

 

(Westport Ct.) The Westport Police Athletic League (PAL) and the Westport Parks and Recreation will be holding the annual Independence Day Fireworks Celebration on Friday July 3rd 2015 at Compo Beach in Westport.

The Westport PAL Fireworks are once again sponsored by Melissa and Doug, LLC. The Westport PAL would like to thank Melissa and Doug Bernstein for there continued support of the Westport Police Athletic League and this year’s sponsorship with the Ticket sales will begin on June 1st, 2015 and can be purchased at the Westport Police Department at 50 Jesup Road and at the Westport Parks and Recreation office at 260 Compo Road South in Westport. Tickets sales are limited and are on a first come first serve basis. Firework tickets are $35.00 per car and once tickets are sold out shuttle passes will be available. Rain date for the event is on Monday July 6th, 2015.

Bridgeport News: New China Break In

1:25am–#Bridgeport News: Police are investigating a break in at the New China Restaurant at 1550 Wood Avenue.  A black male wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and a Yankee hat turned backwards gained entry using a crowbar.  He fled down Suburban Avenue and got into a white car before police got there.

Black Rock Warning: Phone Robberies by Yoots

9:15pm–#Bridgeport CT–A warning to people in the Black Rock area where kids on bicycles are pushing people down taking their cellphones.  It happened earlier on Brewster Street near Fairfield Avenue and it just occurred in front of the Showcase Cinemas.   Police are looking for two black teens around 15 years of age on bikes.  Both are wearing dark hoodies with blue jeans.  One hoodie has white lettering.  If you see them call police.

Fairfield News: Lost Israelite

UPDATE: Bridgeport Police are looking for her now in the Capitol and Brooklawn Avenue area.  Here is viewer contributed photo.  She is only wearing a brown sheet and carrying a suitcase behind her.

 

7:07pm–#Fairfield CT–Police have been dispatched to Owen Fish Park on Stratfield Avenue for a “suspicious person”.  A person seem disoriented and when a passerby asked if she was okay she replied she was a “lost Israelite”.  Can’t make this stuff up! Police on the way!
