Bridgeport News: Two-year-old in fair condition after being struck by vehicle

Bridgeport Police Press Release:

#Bridgeport, Conn. (August 4, 2015) – Yesterday evening, a two-year-old child was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Pearl St. and Park St. The child was transported to Bridgeport hospital, and is currently in fair condition. The child’s mother said that the two-year-old was in the backyard of their home playing, and must have snuck out. The child’s mother also noted that she did not witness the accident. The driver of the vehicle was issued an infraction for operating without a license.

Westport News: Mom Arrested Leaving Child In Car

Police were called to the parking lot of Whole Foods, 399 Post Road West, on a report of an infant left unattended in a vehicle. Arrested on $1,000 bond was Milan Kunajukr of Westport. Upon arrival the officers found the vehicle unlocked and running with the infant inside. Kunajukr exited the store and returned to her vehicle a short time after police arrival. Based on the facts and circumstances she was place under arrest and transported to police headquarters. Arrangements were made to have the father take custody of the infant who was evaluated by EMS before leaving the area. The weather at the time of the incident was approximately 84 degrees, however the interior of the vehicle was cool as the air conditioning was on. DCF was notified of the incident. According to witness statements the infant was alone for approximately 7 minutes.

La policía fue llamada a la playa de estacionamiento de Whole Foods, 399 Post Road West, en un informe de un niño desatendido en un vehículo. Detenido el 1000 dólares de bonos fue Milan Kunajukr de Westport. Al llegar los agentes encontraron el vehículo desbloqueado y funcionando con el niño dentro. 4:28pm– #Bridgeport CT–Report of a car accident involving a city bus at Ogden and Nobel Avenue. First responders on the way. The driver of the car and a number of passengers were transported to the hospital with injuries.

Bridgeport News: 2 Shot

2:25am–Police received a call of a person or persons shot outside the Chinese restaurant at Stratford and Bunnell Streets. Just prior to police’s arrival the received a call from Bridgeport Hospital that they had two gunshot victims arrive. Police have a crime scene established at Stratford and Central Avenue. The shots came from a small white or silver car with three people inside. They fled south on Central Avenue after the shooting. This information has not been confirmed by any police representatives.

I was not prevented in hearing or reporting on this call in any way. A previous report from another news source reported that Bridgeport Police are preventing violent news from being reported until after election day.

Justo antes de llegar la policía al recibir una llamada del Hospital Bridgeport que tenían dos heridos de bala llegan.
