Should I Delay Posts?

Yesterday I made a post that many criticized mostly over spelling of all things.  When I report from my phone I’m not as accurate on that keyboard and typos happen.  When I’m on scene I am by myself trying to gather the information, observe other things while trying to post and record off my video camera.  Often times the sun is blinding me from proof reading or just the commotion of a news scene will cause errors.  I assumed you would want the information right away as opposed to perfect grammar.  Did I assume incorrectly?  Should I provide you better pictures recorded on my video camera as opposed to the mediocre cellphone images? Overall my accuracy has been extremely high from just gathering from the scene bus should I delay the post a day or two to get official word from police.   In Bridgeport that might be harder to do since they do not have a public affairs officer (PAO)  like all the other towns do to provide me the information albeit delayed a day or two.  I’m not afraid of criticism, I’m asking for your input.  Those of you that were mean spirited with your comments or took personal shots at  have been blocked from commenting.    It is however challenging  pioneering a new way of reporting.  I do wear all the “hats” and not only do the reporting but all technical aspects of the site, marketing, selling etc.  Can you imagine if I had a team like all the other media?  Some changes are in the works, I’ll keep you posted.
