11:33am–#Bridgeport Connecticut– An employee of the Feld Entertainment of the Barnum and Bailey Circus hit 3 parked cars while unloading from the train station on Union Avenue. The caged train did was not carrying any animals at the time of the accident.
10:50am–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A Milford Police Officer visiting our fine city was struck by a gray 1987 Toyota Camry with antique plates 00BTF. The driver then fled the scene. Bridgeport Police saw the wagon last traveling north on I-95, the cop was traveling in the southbound lane. The incident occurred at Peete and Merritt Street.
1:03am– #Bridgeport Connecticut– An attempted robbery at knife point at Fairfield and Brewster Street by two white or Hispanic males who fled down Brewster Street towards the movie theaters. Both were wearing red and white hoodies. Bridgeport Police engaged in a foot pursuit with one of them on Alfred Street and police from both Fairfield and Bridgeport Police are searching backyards.
11:23pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A person has been shot in the hand and arrived at St. Vincent’s Hospital in a private vehicle. The victim said he was shot during a robbery at a gas station on Park Avenue. The person was shot around 9:30pm and the victim’s family talked him into going to the hospital. Earlier there was shots fired at Park and Olive Street although the exact location is not known at this time.
10:40pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Police catch a burglar at a construction site at 530 Waterview Avenue.

#Bridgeport Connecticut– University of Bridgeport–8:14pm–Police were first to respond to a fire at Bodine Hall at the University of Bridgeport at 80 University Avenue, confirmed the fire to the fire department and proceeded to assist in the evacuation of the dorm. Firefighters said it was burnt food in a trash can on fire in the basement.
8AMish–#Monroe Connecticut–Shortly after 8am Monday, volunteer firefighters from the Monroe, Stevenson,
and Stepney fire departments responded to a reported house fire at 16 Hillside Lane in the Whitney Farms section of town. First arriving firefighters found an active kitchen fire, and made an aggressive attack to extinguish the blaze before it could extend into other areas of the house. Three engines and a ladder truck were on scene under the direction of Monroe Fire Chief George Lattanzi. No residents or firefighters were injured and units cleared the scene in about 90 minutes. The kitchen sustained heavy fire damage but the rest of the house only suffered smoke damage and can be repaired. According to Fire Marshal Bill Davin, the fire was caused by cooking on the stove top, and smoke alarms properly activated and notified the occupant.

5:40pm–#Fairfield Connecticut– Report of a two car at Toilsome Hill Road and Stratfield Road. One car has hit a utility box. Firefighters arriving on scene is reporting a heavy odor of gas in the area. The roadway has been shutdown.
3:15pm–#Stratford Connecticut– VIP Car Wash at 1747 Stratford Avenue called first responders that an excavator hit the back of the building. No reported injuries.
2:30pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Police were called to East Main Street and Shelton Street for a man with a safe between his legs using tools trying to get the safe open. The suspect fled down East Main Street. Police located the safe and the suspect. The safe is reportedly empty according to radio reports.
