Westport News: Housekeeper Charged in Forgery/Larceny

#Westport CT–July of 2016, a Westport woman hired  a cleaning company to clean their home and learned that a check was removed from their checkbook that was cashed at a Citibank.  The victim reported a bank check in the amount of $4,000.00 dollars was deposited to an unknown account that the victim did not write. It was learned that the check was taken from the second to last position in the victim’s checkbook. Officers obtained video surveillance from Citibank where the check was deposited, and the suspect was positively identified as Diana Parra. Parra was an assistant housekeeper for the victim. Parra stole the check, then forged the victim’s signature and deposited it into her personal account. A warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court to arrest Parra. On 04/06/17, Parra turned herself in at Police Headquarters and was processed for the above listed charges. She has a court date in Norwalk on 04/13/17.

Bridgeport News: Man Hits Tree Stump- Then Relieves Himself

11:31 UPDATE: Firefighters requested for a small fire underneath the car now.   I’ll leave the comments for the viewers.

11:25pm–#Bridgeport CT– A man has hit a tree stump in front of 28 Higgins Avenue, gets out and relieves himself.  He is allegedly intoxicated.  Police and EMS on the way.

Bridgeport News: Dirt Bike Jacking

10:00pm–An officer on patrol located the bike on Lindley Street with two people on it. They ditched the bike near Ezra Street. There is a manhunt for them with K-9 behind Read School. Police have returned the bike to the owner.

9:22pm–#Bridgeport CT– A dirt bike was taken at gunpoint on Clark Street.  Police are investigating.

Bridgeport News: Arrest Made In Bretton Street Homicide

On March 18, 2017, Gregory Francilme was shot and killed at the rear of 201 Bretton Street. A second male victim was also shot in this incident and survived. Homicide detectives were able to quickly develop leads in this case, and with the assistance of the Waterbury Police Department, the perpetrator was taken into custody on the same night the incident occurred. Detectives interviewed Tikhari Morton (11/24/97) and he admitted to shooting both males. Tikhari was held in Waterbury for crimes he committed in that city, and Bridgeport Detectives submitted a warrant for the arrest of Morton. On April 7, 2017, Morton was brought to Bridgeport Superior Court where he was arraigned, and charged with Murder and Criminal Attempt at Murder, Assault in the First Degree and weapons offenses. Detectives from the Bridgeport Police Department Robbery Squad also obtained a warrant for Morton’s arrest in a separate robbery incident that occurred on March 17, 2017. Morton is charged with Robbery in the First Degree, Threatening in the First Degree, Criminal use of a Firearm and Larceny in the Third Degree.

Stratford News: 2 People Fall On Railroad Tracks

UPDATE: Additional reports say it was a temporary walkway that gave way.

12:56pm–#Stratford CT– EMS and firefighters dispatched to the southside tracks at the train station for two people who fell on the tracks.  Both people were off the tracks on arrival and only had minor injuries.

Westport News: Westport Gun Owner Charged

On 03/08/2017 at approximately 8:00am, Westport Detectives responded to Norwalk Hospital on report of a Westport resident who was being treated for a gunshot wound to the left thigh. It was reported that the incident happened at approximately 6:00am that morning on Oak Street, Westport. The patient was Dominic Demace, who claimed to have accidentally shot himself in the leg while cleaning a gun. Detectives served a Search Warrant on the home to further investigate the incident. A warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court for the arrest of Demace.

Since a juvenile was in the house on the date and time of this incident, the additional charge of Risk of Injury was added. On 04/06/2017, Detectives responded to Demace’s house to serve the warrant. Demace was transported to Westport PD headquarters where he was fingerprinted and photographed without incident. He was issued a Court date of Monday, 04/17/2017 in Norwalk Superior Court and was held on $25,000 bond.
