Bridgeport News: One In Custody After Pursuit/Manhunt

5:34pm–#Bridgeport CT– State police were in pursuit tan Infinity on Park Avenue but broke off the pursuit when the driver began driving on the sidewalks.  State police broke off the pursuit on Park Avenue but Bridgeport Police picked up the pursuit on Vine Street.  The driver abandoned the car on Sanford Place and fled on foot.  K-9 from Fairfield was called in and the dog tracked the man to an apartment at 10 Coleman Street where he was positively identified and taken into custody.

 

Fairfield News: Cops Pinch Shoplifter Putting Merchandise Down Pants

4:00pm–#Fairfield CT– Police nabbed a shoplifter who was putting merchandise down his pants at the Stop and Shop at the circle at 1160 Kings Highway Cut-off.  Does anyone know if they put the merchandise back on the shelf afterward?

#Bridgeport CT– 3 Families Homeless After Fire

#Bridgeport CT–Around 7am neighbors began pounding on doors at 2606 Main Street as the fire spread throughout the multi-family home where many were sound asleep. Everyone made it out safely.

 

The fire quickly spread in the older balloon framed house. It took firefighters over an hour to get the stubborn fire under control and a couple of hours chasing the hot spots.

 

City councilperson Jeanette Heron was on scene assisting those living there.  Red Cross officials are helping find temporary housing for the tenants and the fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

Fairfield News: One In Custody After Pursuit

4:40pm–#Fairfield CT– Police attempted to pull a car over and after a very brief pursuit, the suspect fled in the Mill Hill/Post Road area.  After a perimeter was set K-9 was called in and captured the suspect on Davis Road.  K-9 took a bite out of crime and EMS was called for the dog bite.
