11:44pm–#Bridgeport CT– Dominoes at 4310 East Main Street had a walk up customer of sorts when a man walked up and asked for an ambulance after being shot in the hand. The man said it was a self-inflicted wound from a BB gun.

11:22pm–#Bridgeport CT– An off-duty Bridgeport Police Officer was hit at Captial and Wells then attempts to flee. The officer was able to detain the suspect until on-duty police arrive.
11:15pm–#Fairfield CT– A car has hit a tree at Sturges Highway and Cross Highway. Roads are starting to get slick with black ice according to radio reports.
10:40pm–#Norwalk CT– First responders received multiple calls for an explosion and then smoke coming out of the sewer drain on Washington Street. Firefighters on scene reporting no power in the area, probably a blown transformer.
Fire Department UPDATE: At 2220 hrs. the Stratford 911 Center received a 911 call from an employee of Ashcroft Inc. stating that there was a fire inside the building located at 250 East Main Street. The Stratford Fire Marshals Office reports that several second shift employees observed a worsening smoke condition inside the production area. Simultaneously alerting Stratford 911 and initiating an evacuation of the facility, employees applied three portable fire extinguishers to control the fire. Subsequently, the building fire sprinkler system activated due to the worsening conditions holding the fire in check until the arrival of Stratford Fire personnel at 2227 hrs. Stratford Fire personnel under the command of Assistant Chief Timothy Brennan insured the extinguishment of the fire, shutting down power to the affected area of the building. Due to the size of the affected area and volume of smoke, fire personnel worked with several high powered smoke ejectors to remove the smoke from the structure. The Fire Marshals Office investigator determined the cause of the fire was a malfunctioning florescent light fixture. Twenty Eight fire personnel responded to the incident along with Stratford EMS and Stratford PD. The City of Milford and the City of Bridgeport fire departments, each provided backup coverage to the Town of Stratford during the incident. 10:29pm–#Stratford CT– Firefighters are on the scene of a chemical fire at Ashcroft Inc. at 250 East Main Street. The fire is now reported out and firefighters are checking for exposures and other related issues with chemicals.

Fire Department UPDATE: On February 7, 2018 at 6:15pm Westport Fire Department received a 911 call reporting a truck on fire at 119 North Avenue. The Westport Fire Department initially responded with 2 Engines and the Shift Commander. While responding the Westport Fire Dispatch received information that the vehicle was close to the house and other vehicles. An additional Engine and Ladder truck were dispatched. Engine 6 from the Coleytown Fire Station was first to arrive and reported a contractors van heavily involved in fire. Engine 6 reported no fire threatening the home or other vehicles. Companies quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. The Westport Fire Marshall’s Office responded to conduct an investigation. The Westport Police Department and Westport EMS responded and assisted at the scene.
6:19pm–#Westport CT– Today’s vehicle fire is reported to be a work van in front of 119 North Avenue. Radio reports say it is heavily involved.
5:19pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police received multiple calls for shots fired in the Newfield and Revere Street area. A silver car was seen fleeing the area. So far no reports of anyone or anything hit.
#Norwalk CT–On January 22, 2018, at 4:53pm, officers from the Patrol Division responded to a burglary at a residence on Hadik Parkway. Arriving officers ascertained that the suspects had fled the scene prior to their arrival. However, officers obtained a vehicle description and suspect information from the complainant, who was home during the incident. The complainant stated the suspects attempted to force open two exterior doors however, they were unable to gain entry into the residence. A short time later officers located the suspect vehicle stopped in front of 7 Midwood Road. Officers contacted the five occupants of the vehicle and initially arrested two of the five for the burglary attempt. During a search of the car, officers located a loaded .45 caliber pistol. All five occupants were arrested and charged. Two of the occupants were juvenile males, age 16 and 17. The juveniles were charged with Carrying a Pistol without a Permit and Weapon in a Motor Vehicle. Both juveniles were transported to Mead Hall in Bridgeport. The Norwalk Detective Bureau assisted with the investigation and learned that this incident likely stemmed from a drug debt owed by the complainant to Ryan Ventrella. Arrested: Ryan Vetrella, 18 of 7 Midwood Road Norwalk Donald Allen, 18 of 17 Holly Street Norwalk Joshua Meckley, 18 of 70 East Rocks Road Norwalk Charges: Criminal Attempt at Burglary 2, Weapon in a Motor Vehicle, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, Criminal Mischief 3 and Conspiracy.

The Fairfield Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Key Bank, 1731 Post Rd. at 11:30 am on 02/07/2018. The suspect pictured below entered the store and passed the clerk a note that
indicated that he was committing a robbery. The suspect left out the back door of the business with an undisclosed amount of cash and the clerk called police immediately after the incident occurred. Nobody at the scene was injured. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras within the store. The suspect is described as an African American male, wearing dark sunglasses, blue gloves, a dark colored hoodie, dark pants and tan shoes.
