7:19pm–#Bridgeport CT– A report of an armed robbery of a 55 inch TV in the 1200 block of Pembroke Street. No word if the robbery happened indoors or outdoors.
3:09pm–#Fairfield CT– Police were called to the Mercedes Dealer at 165 Commerce Drive. According to radio reports a man went into the ladies room and trashed it. Police are investigating.

2:12pm–#Bridgeport CT–A postal carrier was robbed at gunpoint at Lafayette and Atlantic Street. The suspect had a silver handgun and fled towards the university on foot. According to radio reports the only thing taken was the postal keys.
2:00pm–#Fairfield CT– First responders were called to Perry’s Mill Pond near Cider Mill Lane to rescue a man between the two ponds, the man was unable to walk. According to radio reports police had to administer Narcan. First responders had to carry the man out of the area and to the hospital.
1:25pm–Two calls for Assumption Church in two different towns at the same time. Firefighters called for smoke in a building at Assumption Church, Westport on Riverside Drive for smoke in the building. Then, a call from Assumption Church at North Cliff Street for an activated fire alarm. Westport’s turned out to be an item smoldering in the furnace, contained in the furnace. Ansonia Firefighters found nothing at their church.
12:02pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters on the way to Bassick High School for smoke coming from a closet. It is reported to be on the Clinton Avenue side, 2F in the new building.
#Fairfield CT– The town of Fairfield launched it’s Shop Local campaign this week. Mark Burnell, Economic Developer for the town of Fairfield said they are trying to make this an ongoing event not just for the holiday season. Owners of the Spic and Span Market Lori and Gregory Peck said they hope that consumers think twice before purchasing online, that the item may be available online. They realize that the campaign won’t cover everything for consumers but that consumers should make an effort to support local businesses who pay local taxes to the town and support local charitable events. The campaign is stressing that fifty percent of money spent locally stays in the local community.
On 11/14/2018 at 3:59pm the Fairfield Police Department responded to 37 Prince Street for a report of animal cruelty. Officers responded to find several animal carcasses, which are believed to be canine remains, in crates within the residence. Fairfield Animal Control and Detectives responded to the house to further investigate.
The remains were removed after a search warrant for the residence was conducted. This case is currently under investigation by the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau and Animal Control Office. 6:40pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters on scene of a structure fire on Rampart Road. First line of attack was a garden hose while the fire hoses were run. Firefighters inside the attic are backing out as the fire is “rolling” on them according to radio reports.

4:55pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police are looking for a gray Honda Accord that hit a couple of parked cars at Branum and Seaview Avenue. The driver fled the scene—Spoiler alert, you left your plate behind so you may want to return to the scene.
