#BRIDGEPORT, CT— Today, Christmas Eve, Bridgeport Police Department detectives secured arrest warrants for four individuals responsible for the murder of Clinton Howell that occurred on December 18, 2018. One adult male identified as Tajay Chambers 10/12/2000 is charged with Murder with Special Circumstances 53a-54b, Murder, 53a-54a, Use of a Firearm During the Commission of a A, B, or C Felony, 53-202K, Illegal Carry/ Possession of a Pistol or revolver without a Permit, 29-35, Risk of Injury to a Child, (3 counts) 53-21, Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree, 53a-63 and Larceny in the 2nd Degree, 53a-123. Chambers is currently being detained by the Department of Corrections on non-related charges, and we anticipate he will be arraigned later this week. Three juveniles, ages 12, 14 and 16 are in custody and have been charged with Conspiracy to Murder, 53a-48/53a-54a, Carrying a Pistol or Revolver without a Permit, 29-35 and Larceny in the Second Degree, 53a-123. These arrests would not have been possible without strong cooperation from the public, and the excellent police work of Detective Cintron, Detective Roscoe and the Bridgeport Police Homicide Squad. 8:03pm–#Bridgeport CT– Dino’s Deli and Grocery located at 1226 State Street was robbed at gunpoint by a male wearing a ski-mask.

#Bridgeport CT–How about some likes to the Bridgeport Fire Department’s Engine 12 for making deliveries of food and toys Saturday night for families in need? The families were nominated by Bridgeport School’s social workers for a total of 120 children. Each family received a turkey dinner, the toys were donated by Bridgeport Firefighters Local 834, Long Hill Volunteer Fire Department, and Career Resources. Other donations were made by Servpro of Bridgeport, Edie Faile, Barb Susi, along with family and friends of Bridgeport Firefighters. The Bridgeport Sound Tigers donated 150 tickets for families as well.
The event was organized by Engine Company 12 of Beechmont Avenue firehouse and the firefighters making the deliveries was Captain Rooss, Pump Engineer Rios, Firefighter Bulerin and Firefighter Craft. Special thanks to BMW of Bridgeport for making this good news story possible!
1:04pm–#Bridgeport CT– A carjacking just occurred in the 100 block of Woodmont Avenue. Taken at gunpoint were the person’s car and cellphone. Police are investigating.

8:11am–#Fairfield CT– It is a not so Merry Christmas Eve for a Puritan Road family who was chased out of their home by a fire. The homeowner told me that he believes the fire started in the basement in the furnace. All four family members made it out safely from the home. The homeowner himself suffered some smoke inhalation and was checked out by EMS.
10:06pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police are investigating a gun-waving incident on Route 8/25 southbound near exit 5. A person in a black Nissan was seen pointing a gun a gray car which got off exit 5 and the black Nissan continue on the highway.

9:40pm–#Bridgeport CT– A person with a gunshot wound walked into St. Vincent’s Hospital. It is not known how he/she arrived or the extent of their injuries or where the incident occurred. There have been no shots fired calls in Bridgeport tonight so it may have happened in another town.
