UPDATE: Deputy Fire Chief Lance Edwards said the child was taken to the hospital but was not certain why. The Red Cross will be providing temporary housing to 4 adults and two children.
–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters were called to 1315 Pembroke Street for a structure fire. When the arrived they found heavy fire in the basement and people were evacuating the building. Primary and secondary searches confirmed everyone made it out safely. Deputy Fire Chief Lance Edwards said the basement fire was extinguished with minor extension to the first floor and that no firefighters were injured the fire. As I was leaving the scene I notice an infant/baby being checked out by EMS. The child did not appear to be in any distress and it was just precautionary.

La Cruz Roja estará dando vivienda temporal a 4 adultos y dos niños. 7:18pm–#Bridgeport CT–Los bomberos fueron llamados a 1315 en la calle Pembroke para un fuego. Cuando llegaron encontraron mucho fuego en el sótano y la gente evacuaba el edificio. Confirmaron que todos salieron a tiempo. El Sub Jefe Lance Edwards dijo que el incendio del sótano se extinguió y se extinguió una pequeña parte del primer piso y ningún bombero resultó herido en la lucha contra el fuego. A la salía, me fijé que un bebé/niño estaba revisado por emergencia en la escena. El niño no parecía estar en ninguna angustia.
