#Bridgeport CT– This week the city honored their  Emergency Communications & Operations Center by honoring the men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to Bridgeport citizens.  I asked  Scott Appleby, Bridgeport’s Director of Emergency Management to give us a tour of the facility and give a few more details of what goes on when you dial 911.

2019-04-20 @ 12:40am–#Bridgeport CT– Reports of shots fired in the Stratford Avenue near Read Street.  Police are on the scene investigating.

2019-04-20 @ 12:21am–An attempted robbery at Norman and Iranistan Avenue a dark gray or silver 200 series Chrysler pulled up to a man, brandished a gun and attempted to rob him. The man ran from the robber and got away.

#Bridgeport CT—The Bridgeport Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, April 27, 2019 for repairs. The Transfer Station is owned and operated by the City of Bridgeport to provide for its residents and businesses, safe, environmentally responsible access to refuse disposal as well as recycling services. The facility is open to the public year-round, with hours of operation as followed: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm and Saturday 7am-3pm.

#Bridgeport CT: La estación de transferencia de Bridgeport permanecerá cerrada el sábado 27 de abril de 2019 para reparaciones. La estación de transferencia es propiedad y operada por la ciudad de Bridgeport para proveer a sus residentes y negocios, acceso seguro, ambientalmente responsable a la eliminación de basura, así como servicios de reciclaje. La instalación está abierta al público durante todo el año, con horas de operación como sigue: de lunes a viernes de 7am a 3pm y sábados de 7am a 3pm.

2019-04-19 @ 2:27am– #Bridgeport CT– Police break up a physical fight between a man in the street at Manila Place.  EMS was also called to the scene.

2019-04-19 @ 2:01am–#Bridgeport CT– A car hit two parked cars causing significant damage to them at Fairfield Avenue near Waldor Avenue.  A third car was rolled into but did receive as much damage.  The driver of the rolled over vehicle was the only person injured.

2019-04-18 @10:26pm–#Bridgeport a person was shot in a robbery at the Gigante Market at 965 State The person was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. A suspect fled on foot.
