2019-04-19 @ 12:18am–#Fairfield CT– First responders on scene of what appears to be a one-car crash on I-95 northbound near exit 24.  Radio reports said one car went from one side of the highway and off the road, they may have referred to the left lane across the northbound lanes.   The car went through the guard rail and into the wooded area.   A family nearby heard what they thought was an explosion and got in the min-van to investigate the scene with me.   Radio reports said the person was in trauma so keep them in your prayers!

Los informes de radio dijeron que un carro iba de un lado de la carretera y fuera de la carretera, pueden haber referido al carril izquierdo a través de los carriles del norte. #Fair field CT–On September 2, 2017 I reported on the fire broke out at the Sherman Parsonage House 480 Old Post Road. The damage was so significant that the historic home that it was recently sold as a teardown and was set for demolition. Trumbull based real-estate developer John Paul Development purchased the home for an undisclosed amount and brought the home back to its former glory. John Paul and his wife Heather recently held an open house to show the community that he kept the outside of the home true to the original build. Inside the home enjoys the modern conveniences like a doggie shower in the mudroom, a five hundred wine bottle cooler and high-end appliances. There are many reminders inside the 1816 home to remember it’s past such as exposed beams with the roman numerals etched in to let the builders know which 4×4 beam went. There is also a church pew original to the home, which Paul said is why it is called the Parsonage Home. All the plumbing and electrical had to be replaced. John Paul said one of the challenges was to get the old framing to match up with today’s framing. He said basically they had to cut the home in half and match to the frames together. The home was built by Roger Sherman at a cost of $20,000, the most expensive home in Fairfield at the time. It took John Paul 9 months to rebuild the home. He said everyone has been supportive, from the neighbors to the town officials.
