2019-06-23 @ 7:00pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters try to figure out how they are going to free this Uhaul from the metal pump guard as the driver obviously cut it a little too close at the gas station at Boston and Barnum Avenue.

Fairfield News: Candles Suspected In Overnight Fire

2019-06-22 @ 11:30pm–Assistant Fire Chief George Gomola said unattended candles are to blame for an overnight fire on Longfellow Avenue.  Gomola said the resident said she was burning candles in her bedroom and she had left the 3 family home for a short time.  When she returned she discovered the fire.  Gomola said the woman did the right thing by alerting the other occupants and then called 911 from her cellphone outside of the residence.  The woman did receive burns to her hand attempting to put the fire out.  The assistant chief said by her closing the  bedroom door prior to retreating helped keep the flames from spreading.  The fire marshal is investigating.

2019-06-22 a las 11:30 pm–El Asistente Jefe de Bomberos George Gomola dijo que las velas desatendidas son la culpa de un incendio en la avenida Longfellow. Gomola dijo que el residente dijo que estaba quemando velas en su habitación y que había dejado la casa de 3 familias por un corto tiempo. Cuando regresó descubrió el fuego. Gomola dijo que la mujer hizo lo correcto al alertar a los otros ocupantes y luego llamó al 911 desde su teléfono celular fuera de la residencia. La mujer recibió quemaduras en su mano tratando de apagar el fuego. El jefe asistente dijo que al cerrar la puerta del dormitorio antes de retirarse ayudó a evitar que las llamas se extendieran. Fairfield News: SUV and Motorcycle Collide

2019-06-23 @ 2:44pm–#Fairfield CT– Witnesses say a motorcyclist received “serious” injury to his leg after colliding with an SUV at Fairfield Woods and Burroughs Road.  Fairfield Woods was temporarily shut down.

Bridgeport News: Uber Driver Stabbed

2019-06-23 @ 3:19am–#Bridgeport CT– A Uber driver has been stabbed by a passenger.  Radio reports say it sounds serious and that an artery may have been hit.  The stabbing took place at East Main and Nichols Avenue.  The suspect left behind his hat so hopefull K-9 can track him down.

Bridgeport New: Woman Falls Asleep In Tub Flooding Building

2019-06-23 @ 1:44am #Bridgeport CT– An alleged drunk woman went to take a bath in the 600 block of Brooks Street.  She fell asleep while the tub was filling and flooded the building according to radio reports. She has two small children in the home so police are on the way.

2019-06-23 a la 1:44 am #Bridgeport CT– Una supuesta mujer borracha fue a tomar un baño en la 600 calle Brooks. Se durmió mientras la bañera se llenaba e inundó el edificio de acuerdo con los informes de radio. Tiene dos niños pequeños en el hogar, así que la policía está en camino.

Bridgeport News: Bedroom Fire

5:05pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters were called to a bedroom fire on Simms Street (South End off Iranistan Avenue) .  Firefighters quick response kept the fire confined to the bedroom.  A charred mattress is thought to be the source of the fire, the fire marshal was called to investigate.  There were no reported injuries and the Red Cross will be providing emergency assistance for four adults.

5:05pm–#Bridgeport CT – Los bomberos fueron llamados a un incendio en el dormitorio en la calle Simms (sur de Iranistan). La respuesta rápida de los bomberos mantuvo el fuego confinado al dormitorio. Se cree que un colchón carbonizado es la fuente del incendio, el jefe de bomberos fue llamado a investigar. No se reportaron lesiones y la Cruz Roja proporcionará asistencia de emergencia a cuatro adultos.

Norwalk News: Man Falls Onto Railroad Tracks

2019-06-22 @ 4:27pm–#Norwalk CT– A man had fallen off the platform onto the New York side of the  railroad tracks at the Monroe Street Train Station.  The man has been removed from the tracks but is now reported to be unresponsive.  First responders on the way.

Stratford News: Boat On The Break Waters

2019-06-22 @ 3:00PMish– The Coast Guard was busy with a boat that drifted into the break waters on the Housatonic River.  There was no one on board which concerned them but they were able to get a hold of the boat’s owner who said no one should have been on board.
