UPDATE: State police say Trooper Gregory Sawicki’s cruiser was assisting a motorist near Exit 22 in Fairfield with its lights activated to help a driver when a another vehicle traveling in the left lane veered into the shoulder and rear-ended the cruiser. The cruiser was then pushed into the first vehicle.
Police said the trooper and the third driver had to be extricated from their vehicles by the Fairfield Fire Department. The trooper was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries

Police boxed the car in and have two in custody near exit 23. Police were searching the shoulder of the highway near exit 24, Black Rock Turnpike Exit.

UPDATE: Police say officers responded to a female with difficulty breathing at the train station. The 19 year old female victim was possibly raped across from the bus station in an abandoned lot.. Detectives were notified and went to speak with the victim. An investigation ongoing, no further information at this time.

#Westport CT–On 05/21/2019, Westport officers were dispatched to a local retailer on a report of a stolen handbag valued at approximately $2,875.00. Store surveillance video captured the female suspect concealing the bag under her coat before exiting the store. Staff recognized the suspect as a regular customer, Deborah Bunch. An arrest warrant application was submitted by the investigating officer and later approved. On 06/09/2019, Bunch turned herself in at headquarters on the outstanding warrant. She was charged with 53a-124 Larceny 3 rd and released after posting $10,000 bond. Bunch is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on 06/19/2019.

2019-06-15 @ 5:10pm– Police were called to a shots spotter activation in the 800 block of Colorado Avenue where the found shell casing but no victim. A short time later police received a call for a shooting victim on Denver Avenue and Fairfield Avenue (a short distance from Colorado Avenue.). They found a male victim shot in the leg/thigh area. The victim was alert and talking to first responders and was transported to the hospital.
