Connecticut State Police report:
On November 25th, 2021 at approximately 1429 hrs, Troop G personnel responded to a pedestrian
walking on Route 15 North between exits 40-41. Upon arrival, Troopers observed a white male crouched
behind the concrete barrier in the right shoulder. While Troopers began making contact with the male, the
male suddenly jumped over the barrier and began running across the northbound travel lanes into traffic.
Troopers were able to stop the male in the left lane, where a physical altercation ensued. During the
struggle, the male continued to actively resist, failing to comply with verbal demands from the Troopers on
scene. An assigned Conducted Electrical Weapon (Taser) was deployed in attempt to gain control of the
male. With assistance from passing motorist, Troopers on scene were eventually able to gain control and
take the male into custody. Both Troopers on scene sustained minor lacerations to theirs hands and facial areas and both were treated at Norwalk Hospital.
