Bridgeport News: Fire On Parrott Avenue

2023-05-12@7:34pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters were called to a fire in a bathroom in the 300 block of Parrott Avenue. Firefighter made a quick entry and extinguished the fire and rescued a woman on the second floor who was unable to walk safely out of the building.

Bridgeport News: Homicide #12

On February 17, 2023, 68-year-old Jeffrey Lindo of Bridgeport CT was assaulted at his home during a domestic dispute. Mr. Lindo resided within the 100 block of Charles Street. On February 20, 2023, Mr. Lindo was found unresponsive inside his home and pronounced deceased.

On May 10, 2023, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner contacted the Bridgeport Police Department with the cause and manner of death. The cause of death is Blunt Impact Injury to the Head. The manner of death is Homicide. The Police Department’s deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Mr. Lindo.

On February 20, 2023, the Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Squad took charge of the investigation and developed a suspect. Fairfield News: Animal Cruelty Charges

#Fairfield CT– On Friday May 12, 2023 the Fairfield Police Department

arrested and charged Glorianne Marie LAGNESE (59) of Fairfield charging her with 48 Counts of Animal Cruelty stemming from an investigation previously reported at her

Steep Hill Road home.

All animals were seized from her home and are currently being held pending a court order.

Lagnese was released after posting $5000.00 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on May 19, 2023.

3rd ARREST OF ANTONIO J. DOSSANTOS – CRIMINAL ATTEMPT KIDNAPPING IN THE 2ND DEGREE + RISK OF INJURY TO A CHILD

#Bridgeport CT– On July 16, 2021, at approximately 10:21 am Bridgeport Police were dispatched to the intersection of Lincoln Blvd. & Taft Avenue on the report of an attempted kidnapping. The victim was a 14-year-old Central High School student on the date and time of the incident. The female student reported that she was approached by a male party while waiting in the area (Lincoln Blvd & Taft) for her father to pick her up from school. The male suspect grabbed the victim around the head and attempted to drag her into a black car. The female student resisted by pushing away from her attacker. On April 29, 2023, Bridgeport Police were contacted by one of the parents of the 14-year-old victim from the 2021 incident. The victim, who is now 16, recognized her attacker from a press release provided by the police department on April 28, 2023. An investigation was conducted by Detective Angel Llanos and an arrest warrant was secured for Antonio Dossantos. Dossantos was arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court this morning to face additional charges of Risk of Injury to a Child and Criminal Attempt Kidnapping in the 2nd Degree. He remains in custody.

BODY DISCOVERED IN WOODED AREA IDENTIFIED AS TRUMBULL MAN

[NEW] Trumbull Police have confirmed the identity of the body that was discovered in the wooded area near the Pequonnock River Valley on Sunday, May 7. The Chief Medical Examiner notified police and confirmed the person’s identity as that of Matthew Robinson, age 29, of Trumbull.

Around 12:30 PM, the Trumbull police were detailed to the wooded area near the end of Hardy Lane, where a hiker found the remains of a deceased male. Various items belonging to Robinson were nearby, but Robison’s identity could not be confirmed. The cause of death has not yet been determined, but there were no signs of foul play, and this was determined to be an isolated incident with no threats to the public.

The Trumbull Police Detective Division, with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Division, and the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection responded and coordinated efforts to investigate the incident.
