Norwalk News: Liquor Store Robbery Suspects

The Norwalk Police Department is asking for help from our community in identifying two robbery suspects.

On October 11, 2023, at 7:37 PM, Norwalk Police Combined Dispatch received a 911 call from an employee of Al’s Warehouse Liquor Store, 617 Connecticut Avenue, who advised that she was robbed by two women. The victim stated she was assaulted by one of the suspects as she attempted to confront her for stealing a bottle of liquor. The victim declined medical treatment.

The first suspect is described as a black female, wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white sneakers. The second suspect is described as a black female, wearing black pants and a black shirt.

The Detective Bureau is asking for assistance in identifying these persons. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Nick Kougioumtzidis by telephone at 203-854-3185, or by email atnkougioumtzidis@norwalkct.org.

Fairfield News: Pedestrian Fatally Struck

#Fairfield CT– On Wednesday October 11th, 2023 at approximately 07:13am hours, The Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a pedestrian being struck by a garbage truck (United Carting) in the area of Campfield Drive at Bloomfield Drive in Fairfield.

Emergency personnel located the 28-year-old victim who was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Medical Examiners personnel took the victim from the scene. OSHA also arrived on scene to investigate. The operator of the garbage truck has not been charged at this time and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.

All of the notifications to the victim’s family have not been completed at this time. The Fairfield Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating this incident.

Fairfield News: Haunted Washing Machine?

2023-10-10@12:00am–#Fairfield–They say when you don’t know who to call then call the fire department which seems to be the case. Firefighters were called to a home on Chelsea Street for a washing machine that started running by itself.

I’d tell you the one about the haunted washing machine, but it’s just a load of sheet!

Norwalk News: Stabbing Arrest

#Norwalk CT–On October 6, 2023 at 10:07 PM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 hang-up from a caller who provided an address of Lowe Street, prior to hanging up the phone.
Patrol division officers responded to the location and were quickly able to provide emergency
medical assistance to the victim, who was stabbed on the left forearm, sternum, and left leg.
Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim’s left arm and applied pressure on the wounds to the
victim’s sternum and leg to control the bleeding.
The victim was then transported to Norwalk Hospital by EMS for treatment to his injuries while
officers looked for the suspect, Norman Allen.
Allen was eventually located in the area by patrol officers and was taken into custody without
incident.

Charges: Assault in the First Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree
Bond: $500,000
