Bridgeport News: Pedestrian Hit By Fleeing Car
2023-02-07@8:20pm–#Bridgeport CT– A homeless man was in the crosswalk at Norman and Fairfield Avenue when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. A good samaritan stop and stayed with the man until first responders arrived. EMS loaded the man and his cart full of possessions into the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING ARREST
On February 7, 2023, the Norwalk Police Special Services Division and the Tactical Response Team served two arrest warrants on Donald “Showbizz” Flamer and executed a search seizure warrant at his residence on Ely Avenue apartment 2B Norwalk.
The warrants are the result of a year-long investigation into continuing narcotics trafficking by Donald Flamer. Flamer is currently out on bond from an April 13, 2022, narcotics arrest. Flamer posted bail on April 13, 2022, and had conditions of release placed on him. One of the conditions placed on him was that he was ordered to stay away from the Ely Avenue residence and the Roodner Court Housing Complex. Failure to stay away violates the condition of release and is the basis for arrest.
Investigators seized the following today:
21 grams of crack cocaine laced with Fentanyl
25.7 grams of powder cocaine laced with fentanyl
21 glassine folds containing Heroin laced with Fentanyl
45 oxycodone pills
3.5 grams of purple cocaine laced with fentanyl
Arrested: Donald Flamer, 42 of 261 Ely Ave. Apt 2B, Norwalk, CT
Charges:
Five counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Five counts of Sale of Narcotics Substance, Use of Drug Paraphernalia, Two counts of Possession of Drugs within 200’ of a School/Daycare, Two counts Possession of Controlled Substance within 200’ of a School or Daycare.

Chief Porter Holds Press Conference for February 6th Homicides
Bridgeport, CT – This afternoon, a press conference was held to discuss the two homicides that took place during the afternoon and evening hours of Tuesday, February 6th, 2023. Although unrelated, both homicides took place within a seven-hour span. The Bridgeport Police Department currently has additional officers on patrol for the remainder of the week to ensure the safety of Bridgeport residents that live in the areas of which the two homicides took place.
The two victims of the February 6th homicides were identified as 26-year-old Tyheem Scales from Naugatuck, CT and 35-year-old Tyeshon King of Bridgeport, CT. Bridgeport Police Department says that there is no connection between the two homicides, but efforts are being made to resolve the shootings that occurred.
Mayor Ganim stated, “We are deeply affected by two homicides taking place on the same day in the City. Because of this, public safety will continue to be our number one priority within Bridgeport. And to the friends and families of the victims, we send our condolences and sympathies.”
“We want to offer our condolences to both families of Tyheem Scales and Tyeshon King. We are doing our best to investigate these incidents and bring justice to the families,” Chief Porter stated. “We’re taking precautions within the two areas by increasing police presence to ensure the safety of our community.”
With the recent advocacy for strengthening common sense gun laws, the Bridgeport Police Department, Mayor Ganim, and other city leaders are working together to actively address gun violence within their communities.

Oxford Death Investigation Results in Cruelty to Persons Arrest
On Wednesday, 02/01/2023, at approximately 10:52 AM, Detectives from the Western District Major Crime Squad served an arrest warrant for James Mosley, (DOB 03/08/1950) in the City of Bridgeport. The arrest warrant was applied for and granted as the result of a suspicious death investigation initiated on 06/04/2022, in the Town of Oxford. Detectives made contact with Mosley, who was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop G in Bridgeport, where he was processed and charged with the following:
C.G.S. 53a-155, Tampering With Physical Evidence
C.G.S. 53-20(a)(1), Intentional Cruelty to Persons
Mosley was unable to post a $25,000.00 court set bond and was transported to the Bridgeport Correctional Center (BCC), pending his scheduled arraignment at Derby Superior Court.
Bridgeport News: Homicide #2
Police UPDATE: On February 6, 2023, at approximately 8:55 p.m. Bridgeport Police responded to the 600 block of Trumbull Avenue on the report of a ShotSpotter activation with citizens reporting a party shot in the parking lot at that location.
Upon arrival, police officers located an unresponsive party suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, a 35-year-old Bridgeport man, was quickly transported to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where he later died.
The B.P.D. Detective Bureau Homicide Squad has responded and taken charge of the investigation. Detectives are working several leads. It does not appear this homicide is related to the homicide that occurred earlier today outside 974 William Street. The B.P.D. Identification Unit is processing the crime scene.
The victim of this shooting has been identified as Tyeshon King of Bridgeport CT. Next of kin has been notified. The Bridgeport Police Department’s thoughts and prayers are with Tyeshon King’s family and friends.

2023-02-06@9:00PMish– Around 9pm shots rang out at Trumbull Gardens and a man was killed in today’s 2nd homicide in a drive-by shooting. The first homicide took place on William Street around 2:20pm. It is not known if the two shootings are connected.
Bridgeport News: Structure Fire
2023-02-06@7:16pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters were called to the 1900 block of Chopsey Hill Road for a structure fire. Firefighters found smoke and fire on the outside of the building and extinguished it before it extended anywhere else to the home.

Bridgeport Police Investigate Homicide
Police UPDATE:
Bridgeport Police On-Scene Command reported one male party located in the parking lot behind 974 William Street. The victim, who has been identified as 26-year-old Tyheem Scales from Naugatuck, had been shot multiple times. Scales was taken to Bridgeport Hospital by ambulance but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Bridgeport Police would like to extend their condolences to the family and friend of Mr. Scales.

2023-02-06@2:20pm–#Bridgeport CT– Detectives are on scene in the 900 block of William Street for an “unconfirmed” homicide behind an apartment building. The person was shot in the back of a black Honda (with the handicap placard in the windshield. The man was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. Family members began arriving on the scene around 3:30pm.
