2023-01-24@5:09pm–#Norwalk CT– Police are looking for a black Honda CRV with New York plates responsible for shoplifting over $5,000 worth of merchandise from Kohls on Connecticut Avenue. The car fled towards Darien.
#Milford CT–On January 7, 2023, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle near 207 Sub Way. The vehicle accelerated, driving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was ultimately stopped in Ansonia and the operator was identified as Kyle Lewis of Stratford. There were two small children in the vehicle. He was charged with Engaging Police in Pursuit, Reckless Driving, and Risk of Injury to a Minor. His bond was set at $1,000 and has a February 7 court date.
2023-01-12@11:11pm–#Bridgeport CT– #ctfire— Firefighters were called for a multi-car crash on Barnum Avenue near East Avenue. Police were first on the scene and they told the firefighters that two cars were on fire which they quickly extinguished. The occupants of the black sedan facing the wrong way in the video fled the scene. There were no reported injuries. A total of five cars were involved.
#Bridgeport CT– On January 20, 2023, at approximately 1827 hours the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received several calls for a motor vehicle accident with injuries, and parties are now arguing. A female caller stated a female operator involved in the accident is trapped in her vehicle and going into cardiac arrest. A second caller stated the parties are still arguing on the scene.
American Medical Response, Bridgeport Fire E3/E4, and the Bridgeport Police were dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival, an officer stated, he observed six vehicles with damage. He also observed AMR giving medical assistance to an unresponsive elderly female and two young males from a separate vehicle. The elderly female and the two young males were transported to Bridgeport Hospital. The Bridgeport Police Serious Crash Team was notified and responded to the scene.
The elderly female succumbed to her injuries, moments after arriving at Bridgeport Hospital. The elderly female was identified as, 74-year-old Gladys Andrade of Bridgeport, Ct. The Next of Kin was notified by Bridgeport Hospital’s Staff and The Bridgeport Police Department. The Bridgeport Police Department’s thoughts and prayers are with Gladys Andrade’s family and friends.
The Bridgeport Police Serious Crash Team reconstructed the scene and obtained video of the serious crash.
A silver 2014 Nissan Pathfinder bearing Ct. registration AL99149, being operated by 22-year-old Yuri Barral of Bridgeport, Ct. was traveling west on Linen Ave. and crashed into the rear of a gray 2022 Honda CRV, bearing Ct. registration BH23653, being operated by 74-year-old Gladys Andrade.
The impact pushed, the 2022 Honda CRV into an oncoming silver 2015 Dodge Charger bearing Ct. registration AX69722, being operated by 27-year-old Brandon Viera of Bridgeport, Ct., and several parked vehicles.

2023-01-21@1:05pm–#Fairfield CT– An elderly woman was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after she drove through the front door at Sports Clips located at 2395 Black Rock Turnpike. Joe Cihak was about a minute into his haircut when the accident occurred. To make matters worse, Joe’s car was also hit by the elderly woman’s car.
Trumbull Police charged two (2) men for fighting and causing a disturbance at the Trumbull Stop & Shop on Quality Street on Friday, January 20, 2023. Robert Zacchia, age 55, of Madison Avenue, Trumbull, and Emmanuel Andriotis, age 19, of Old Town Road, Bridgeport were both arrested and charged for their involvement in this incident.
Police investigation learned that as Zacchia was walking through the Stop & Shop parking lot, Andriotis was driving. Both men then made eye contact and arm gestures toward each other. Andriotis circled the parking lot and returned to the area of Zacchia when Zacchia approached Andriotis’ vehicle and began yelling at him. Andriotis exited his vehicle and the men continued to yell at each other in the busy parking lot. Andriotis’ passenger began video recording the incident on their cell phone, so Zacchia approached and reached into the vehicle where he grabbed the cell phone. Andriotis then punched Zacchia in his head, causing Zacchia to fall to the ground and strike his head on the pavement. Zacchia was treated for his head injury, and no other injuries were reported.
Zacchia was later discharged from St. Vincent’s Hospital where he was charged with Breach of Peace in the Second Degree (2 counts), and was released on a Promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on January 30, 2023.
Andriotis was also charged with Breach of Peace in the Second Degree and was released on a Promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on January 30, 2023.
#Trumbull CT–A large police response resulted from numerous 911 calls reporting a disturbance at the local Stop & Shop grocery store on Quality Street late Friday afternoon, but they only found one (1) man who had been knocked unconscious in an altercation between two (2) men. At about 4:30 p.m., Trumbull Police responded to a disturbance at this Quality Street shopping center, for what was originally reported as a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Responding officers found two (2) men who had been involved in an argument outside in the driveway, which was followed by a face-to-face confrontation, and an exchange of them spitting on each other. One of the men punched the other, knocking him to the ground when the other man grabbed the arm of an acquaintance who was filming the incident on her cell phone. That injured man was treated at the scene by EMS personnel and transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for a head wound. There were no other injuries to any others involved. Officers remained on the scene to collect witness information and expected that charges would be lodged soon. A preliminary investigation had not been completed at the time of this release.
2023-01-20@7:49pm–#Stratford CT– Firefighters called for a rollover crash with entrapment on the Devon Bridge. The person was freed from the car and turned over to EMS with unknown injuries.
2023-01-20@7:29pm–#Fairfield CT– Firefighters were called by employees at Shop Rite at 1975 Black Rock Turnpike for a deep fryer used for cooking chicken caught fire. No word if fowl play is suspected.
#Bridgeport CT– On January 19, 2023, at around 10 pm, the Bridgeport Police Department’s Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) executed a search warrant at a residence on Shelton Street as part of a narcotics investigation. With the assistance of the Patrol Division, they detained three adults, Colon, Maldonado, and Nieves, and found packaged crack cocaine and money in plain view. They also found a firearm with no valid CT pistol permit in Nieves’ possession. TNT entered the main dwelling and detained an adult female, Rodriguez, and a large dog. They also found a door leading to the basement area which was obstructed by furniture and three large bags containing a white powdery substance. They located an adult male, Reyes, and one juvenile hiding behind the drywall in the basement. TNT found a large amount of packaged cocaine, fentanyl mix capsules, and boxes of new and unused wax paper folds, along with over $9,000.00 in U.S. currency. They also found a loaded firearm and ammunition in a safe in Rodriguez’s bedroom, as well as three additional firearms inside the house near the front door. Two of these firearms were semi-automatic, one of which was stolen from Milford CT. One was an unloaded revolver.The total number of firearms recovered was five (5).
