Norwalk News: Burglary Suspects

The Detective Bureau is looking to identify the pictured individuals in connection
to burglaries of several motor vehicles in Norwalk on November 8, 2023. The two
suspects burglarized several vehicles parked on Muller Avenue and utilized the
identifications of the owners of the vehicles to cash over $30,000.00 in fraudulent
checks. The suspects were seen operating a white Subaru Ascent.

Norwalk News: Stabbing Incident

At 4:24 PM on December 1, 2023, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a report of an individual sustaining a leg injury at 385 Connecticut Avenue’s parking lot. Patrol division officers promptly arrived to support Norwalk Emergency Service personnel in providing medical assistance to the victim. A preliminary investigation by patrol officers uncovered that the victim, a domestic violence survivor, had been stabbed in the left thigh while seated in a vehicle with the suspect.

The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital via ambulance for treatment, while officers initiated a search for the suspect. Subsequently, Norwalk Police Detectives took over the investigation, leading to the arrest of the suspect, Yessica Paola Jimenez.

Bridgeport Positively Charged For Battery Plant

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Grant Fund has electrified the scene by wiring $47.5 million to empower the construction of Nanoramic Laboratories in our city. The U.S. Department of Energy has sparked this initiative, and Nanoramic Laboratories has chosen Bridgeport as the perfect circuit to develop high-voltage, low-cost batteries. This powerful facility will light up the city’s commitment to clean energy and aims to generate a current of 200 new jobs.

Notably, Nanoramic Laboratories is amped up to bring significant cost benefits, aiming to conduct a resistance against high battery costs, reducing them by up to a shocking 27%. The company is also fully charged with sustainable practices that will conduct energy conservation, promoting resilience in the city’s energy grid.

Mayor Ganim expressed his wattage of excitement, welcoming Nanoramic Laboratories to Bridgeport. He highlighted the potential of this electrifying technology to generate jobs while plugging into the city’s sustainability initiatives. The mayor acknowledged the collaborative circuitry with Governor Ned Lamont, Nanoramic Laboratories, and the U.S. Department of Energy, expressing gratitude for their investment in advancing the city’s vision for a brighter future.

Bridgeport News: Structure Fire

2023-12-02@2:41pm–#Bridgeport CT– The Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center received 911 calls on Saturday alerting them to a fire on Rosedale Street. Bridgeport Fire Units, in coordination with the Bridgeport Police Department (BPD) and American Medical Response (AMR), were promptly dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, the first on-scene units verified a working fire on the third floor, confined to the specified apartment. Rapid efforts by the units led to the quick extinguishing of the fire. Currently, an investigation is underway, and the Red Cross will be providing shelter for two adults and two children affected by the incident. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries during this fire.

Man Dies In Fiery Crash

In Shelton, Connecticut, a fatal accident occurred on Saturday morning when a driver crashed into a tree off Route 8 North around 3:41 a.m. The incident, near Exit 14, involved a Nissan Rouge. The vehicle veered off the road, colliding with a tree, and the impact caused it to catch fire. Tragically, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, the identity of the driver is unknown to state police, and the next of kin has not been notified.

Today’s Vehicle Fire

2023-12-01@4:55pm–#Stratford CT– Today’s vehicle fire was inside a garage in the 100 block of Garibaldi Avenue. The fire did not extend to the home. The fire marshal has been called to investigate the cause of the fire.
