Structure Fire

The Bridgeport Fire Department responded to the 2500 block of Main Street at approximately 1:30 p.m., where the first arriving unit encountered heavy fire coming from a rear second-floor apartment. Firefighters quickly initiated an aggressive interior attack to contain the blaze.

The fire was brought under control in less than 30 minutes. There were no reported injuries, and the Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
