Bridgeport Carjacking Arrest Made In Milford

Milford CT– On May 27, 2023, at 7:40am, a report came into the Milford Police Department from a tow truck driver reporting a suspicious male. The male gave the tow truck driver the keys to a vehicle, stating that it was his brother’s car and was “done putting money into it” and walked away. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen, taken in an armed carjacking earlier in Bridgeport. The description of the suspect from the carjacking was given, matching the suspicious male walking toward the Pilot Travel Center.

Officers checked the area and found a suspect matching the description at the Pilot Travel Center. He was positively identified by the tow truck driver as the male he had encountered with the disabled vehicle. He was taken into custody and as he was being patted down, began moving and became fidgety. The suspect disclosed

to officers that he had a gun in his possession, at his right lower calf of his leg. A loaded firearm was located, along with a razor blade in his rear pocket. The suspect was identified as Lydell Elliot, who is a convicted felon.

Lydell Elliot, 31, of Grand Avenue, New Haven was arrested and charged with:

Criminal Possession of a Pistol or Revolver

Carrying a Pistol without a Permit

Larceny in the First Degree

Elliot was taken into custody and given a $25,000 bond. He was unable to post his bond and was arraigned in Milford Superior Court on May 30, 2023.

Milford News: Assault

#Milford CT–On Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:50 pm, Christopher Bier was a patron at Stonebridge Café located at 50 Daniel Street. Bier was asked to leave by the security staff for inappropriate conduct toward other patrons. He was asked to leave repeatedly, and he refused to do so. Security staff escorted Bier off the property, where he assaulted them.

Christopher Bier, 34, of Christine Terrace, Milford was arrested and charged with:

Assault 3rd Degree, Breach of Peace 2nd Degree Bier was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on June 27, 2023.

Milford CT– On May 5, 2023, police officers were called to Motel 6 at 111 Schoolhouse Road in response to a dispute between two employees. According to the victim, they were working together with Angela Williams, age 55 of Bridgeport when an argument broke out between them. During the argument, Williams physically assaulted the victim by striking them on the head and face, resulting in minor injuries. As a consequence, Williams was charged of Breach of Peace 2nd Degree and Assault 3rd Degree. She was released on a promise to appear in court and her court date is set for June 1, 2023. Milford News: Child Pornography Arrest

#Milford CT–On May 9, 2023, Keith Civitello was taken into custody for an arrest warrant for a child pornography investigation. An investigation into Civitello was initiated upon receiving a National Center for Missing andExploited Children CyberTip in January of 2023. The CyberTip from Google showed that Civitello had uploaded several images and videos that contained child pornography to Google platforms.

The Milford Police Department executed a search warrant for Civitello’s home on March 23, 2023. The results of the search warrant led to a device that contained child pornography. Additional images and videos were also located in cloud-based storage solutions.

Keith Civitello (DOB 8/44/1983) resides on Cleveland Avenue, Milford. He was charged with Possession of Child Pornography First Degree with a $100,000 court set bond. He was unable to post his bond and was arraigned in Milford Superior Court on May 9, 2023.

Milford News: Fatal Crash

Milford CT–On May 13, 2023, at 3:10 pm, the Milford Police Department Traffic Division was called to investigate a serious motor vehicle accident with one fatality. A preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevy Trailblazer was traveling eastbound, and a Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling westbound on New Haven Avenue.

The vehicles collided near 1158 New Haven Avenue. The operator of the motorcycle, Michael Esposito (DOB 11/27/1977) succumbed to his injuries on the scene.

Milford News: $5K Shoplifting

#Milford CT– A shoplifting incident occurred at Victoria Secret located at 1201 Boston Post Road on April 27, 2023. The following individuals were arrested for their involvement in the incident:

Aaliyah Chung (B/F, 21) of 1517 Park Place, apt. 11F, Brooklyn, NY

Josh Dior (B/M, 25) of 848 Crescent Street, apt. 1, Brooklyn, NY

Shiquan Aikens (B/M, 28) of 6217 Lippizan Circle, Virginia Beach, VA

Aaliyah Chung was charged with Conspiracy to Commit/Larceny 3rd Degree, Larceny 3rd Degree, and Possession of a Shoplifting Device. Josh Dior was charged with Conspiracy to Commit/Larceny 3rd Degree. Shiquan Aikens was charged with Conspiracy to Commit/Larceny 3rd Degree, Larceny 3rd Degree, and Interfering with an Officer. All three were given a bond of $5,000 and their court dates are as follows:

Aaliyah Chung and Josh Dior: May 11, 2023

Shiquan Aikens: May 25, 2023

The police officers were alerted to the incident by Victoria Secret’s security team. The suspects had fled the parking lot in a blue sedan, which the officers were able to stop. The vehicle contained several individuals, including the suspects. While Chung and Dior were secured, Aikens fled on foot but was later apprehended. Two other individuals also fled on foot but were not found.

According to the Victoria Secret Loss Prevention officer, four individuals had entered the store and placed items in shopper bags without paying for them. The stolen items were valued at $5,196.55. The suspects who were detained, including Chung, Dior, and Aikens, were positively identified as the shoplifters and were charged accordingly.

Milford News: Violation Of Restraining Order

#Milford CT–On April 26, 2023, police officers were called to a residence on Jepson Drive in response to a dispute. When they arrived, they found two people outside the house. After conducting an investigation, it was determined that one of the individuals, Charles Pritchard, had violated a restraining order. As a result, Pritchard was arrested and charged with the offense. He was given a bond of $2,500.
