Norwalk Drug Charges

On Thursday, August 31, 2023, at around 6:00 PM, the Norwalk Police Department’s Special Services Division apprehended Christopher Adams on charges related to narcotics.

The Special Services Investigators had initiated narcotics-related surveillance activities in the vicinity of Prospect Street following anonymous tips and complaints from local residents regarding drug-related activities. During the course of their surveillance, the investigators observed Christopher Adams engaging in the sale of narcotics right in front of 41 Prospect Street. Subsequently, the investigators took Adams into custody. Following his arrest, a search and seizure warrant was obtained for his residence located at 41 Prospect Street.

As a direct result of executing the search warrant, the Special Services Investigators successfully confiscated the following pieces of evidence:

26 grams of powdered cocaine

Cutting agents (substances used to dilute or alter drugs)

Scales (presumably used to weigh the narcotics)

Drug paraphernalia (related to drug consumption or distribution)

US currency (presumably obtained from drug transactions)

The Norwalk Police Department extends its gratitude to the members of the community who contributed information and tips regarding the illicit activities taking place in the area. This ongoing investigation continues to receive attention and efforts from law enforcement.

The individual apprehended in connection with this incident is identified as Christopher Adams, aged 56, residing at 41 Prospect Street, Norwalk, CT. The date of Adams’ arrest was August 31, 2023. He is currently facing multiple charges, including:

Two counts of possession of narcotics

Sale of narcotics

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Possession of narcotics with intent to sell

The designated bond amount for Christopher Adams has been set at $30,000.

Norwalk News: Child Porn Arrest

#Norwalk CTOn August 15, 2023, Norwalk Police Detectives from the Special Victims Unit served an arrest warrant on David M Rosenfield for Possession of Child Pornography in the First Degree. The arrest was the culmination of an extensive and detailed investigation into Rosenfield, by investigators from multiple law enforcement agencies. During the investigation, evidence was collected via search and seizure warrants and thoroughly analyzed, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Rosenfield. Rosenfield was arrested at his Norwalk residence and transported to the Norwalk Police Department for processing.

Arrested: David M Rosenfield, 68, of Belden Avenue, Norwalk, CT.

Charges: Possession of Child Pornography 1st Degree

Bond: $75,000

Narcotics Arrest

During May 2023, the Special Services Division began receiving information that Joshua Powell was
selling large quantities of powder and crack cocaine that contained fentanyl within the City of Norwalk.
An investigation was initiated into Powell’s narcotics trafficking enterprise. Over the next several
months, investigators made several controlled narcotics purchases from Powell. As a result of their
investigation, five arrest warrants were issued for Powell charging him with sale of a controlled
substance.
On August 10, 2023, at 7:30pm, officers from the Special Services Division observed Powell on Main
Street. As Officers approached, he attempted to discard cocaine. Powell was taken into custody without
incident. The cocaine seized during the arrest field tested positive for the presence of fentanyl.

CARJACKING ARREST

#Norwalk CT–On June 19, 2023, at 5:47pm, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a report of a carjacking at 580 Main Avenue. Arriving Patrol Division Officers located the victim, who had been shot in the leg during the incident. Officers rendered aid and the victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle and suspect description were relayed to area police departments. A short time later the vehicle and the suspect were taken into custody on unrelated charges by the

Danbury Police Department.

Norwalk Police Detectives assumed the investigation and quickly determined that the suspect had entered the victim’s vehicle with a firearm and instructed the victim to drive. While driving, a struggle ensued and the suspect shot the victim in the leg. The victim was able to get out of the vehicle, at which time the suspect fled the area in her car. As a result of their investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Deonte Sayles. On August 9, 2023, detectives arrested Sayles at the Stamford Superior Court. Norwalk News: Attempted Kidnapping

On 8-6-23 at 5:21PM, Norwalk Police patrol officers responded to a report of a man that tried to take a child out of a vehicle parked in front of 28 Bouton Street. The complainant told police that once she unbuckled the child’s seatbelt in the rear of the vehicle, an unknown man reached into the vehicle and began to remove the child from the car. The complainant stated that she was able to hold onto the child preventing the man from taking the child. The complainant reported that the

man then asked if she wanted to sell the child and offered the complainant money.

The complainant then drove away and called police, providing the suspect’s description. Responding officers quickly located a man that matched the given description, who was slurring his words and appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. The individual was then identified by the complainant as the man that attempted to take the child.

The suspect was arrested and identified as Jose Domingo. He was transported to police headquarters for processing, where he was found to be in possession of a substance that tested positive for cocaine.

Norwalk News: Gun/Drug Charges

#Norwalk CT–On Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 10:49 PM, a Norwalk Police Officer conducting high visibility patrol at 30 Day Street, was notified of a suspicious vehicle in the parking garage of building “E”. Patrol Officers approached the vehicle to investigate, and noticed a GLOCK 9mm handgun on the driver’s floorboard of the vehicle, accompanied by a 33 round high-capacity magazine. Officers also found
Oxycodone in the vehicle. The driver resisted arrest as Officers attempted to take him into custody, and was transported to Police Headquarters for processing.

Charges: Illegal Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine, Illegal Possession of a Weapon in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Interfering with an Officer/Resisting Bond: $75,000

Norwalk News: Fatal Accident – Witnesses Sought

#Norwalk CT– On July 21, 2023, at 9:58 p.m. Norwalk Combined Dispatch received reports of an accident involving a car and a moped at the intersection of Maple Street and Van Buren Avenue. Norwalk Police Officers responded to the scene and located two vehicles, a moped and an Infiniti SUV.

The operator of the moped was transported to Norwalk Hospital with significant injuries and was later pronounced deceased at Norwalk Hospital. The operator of the second vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
