Norwalk News: Robbery Arrest

On November 29, 2018 at 8:41pm, Patrol Division Officers responded to a reported robbery at the Stop and Shop located at 385 Connecticut Avenue. The caller stated that the male suspect stated he was in possession of a firearm and demanded money. The clerk refused and the suspect then fled the store with a stolen pack of cigarettes. Arriving officers scoured the area however the suspect was not located. However a witness was able to identify the suspect as Shawn Oliphant. Norwalk Detectives assumed the investigation and quickly confirmed Oliphant was in fact the suspect. Detectives determined that Oliphant was at a location in Stamford. With the assistance of the Stamford Police Department, Detectives located Oliphant and took him into custody without incident.

Arrested: Shawn Oliphant, 36 of 50 Lafayette Place Stamford

Charges: Robbery 1, Larceny 6, Violation Protective Order Bond: $100,000

Norwalk News: House Fire

6:40pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters on scene of a structure fire on Rampart Road. First line of attack was a garden hose while the fire hoses were run. Firefighters inside the attic are backing out as the fire is “rolling” on them according to radio reports.

Norwalk News: Teens Hit By Train False Report

11:34pm–#Norwalk CT– If you live in Norwalk you probably heard every emergency vehicle on the road. There was a report that 3 teens were hit by a train on Glover Avenue. After the emergency crews arrived the found no one was hit. Police are investigating.

Norwalk News: Firefighters Raise Money For CT Burn Care Foundation

How about some likes for the Norwalk Firefighters? Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Stephen Shay with Susan Howard, from the Connecticut Burn Care Foundation accepting a check of $4000.00 from Norwalk Firefighters Local 830 . The money came from their annual golf outing fundraiser.
