Six Adults and One Juvenile Arrested in Major Drug and Gun Sweep at Greene Homes

The Bridgeport Police Department Task Force has concluded a lengthy investigation into illegal narcotics sales in and around the Greene Homes Housing Complex, targeting individuals with direct ties to firearm-related offenses in the city. Investigators obtained multiple arrest warrants charging several suspects with the sale of narcotics. Police confirmed that all of the individuals targeted in the operation were either on supervised probation or parole at the time of the investigation.

On December 5, 2025, the Bridgeport Task Force—assisted by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Connecticut State Police, the Bridgeport Narcotics Division, and officers from Trumbull, Fairfield, and the Stamford Police Department—executed a coordinated enforcement operation across the city. A total of eight search warrants at six Bridgeport residences were carried out by the Bridgeport Police Emergency Services Unit and the Stamford Police Special Response Team.

As a result of the operation, six suspects were arrested and served with arrest warrants. During the searches, officers seized two modified Glock handguns converted for fully automatic fire, a high-capacity magazine, quantities of crack cocaine, and approximately $5,000 in U.S. currency. Authorities also confirmed that a juvenile was taken into custody on multiple firearm-related charges, including criminal possession of a firearm and ammunition, illegal possession of a machine gun, failure to register a machine gun, illegal transfer of a pistol, and possession of a high-capacity magazine.

The following adults were arrested and charged with Sale of Narcotics (21a-278b):

  • Kimani Morris – 3 counts | Bond: $350,000
    Police noted Morris was already out on bond from a November 18, 2025 arrest involving a shooting and firearm-related charges.
  • Marc Busanet – 3 counts | Bond: $350,000
  • Russell Gilchrist – 2 counts | Bond: $275,000
  • Koree Jacobs – 3 counts | Bond: $350,000
  • John Matthews – 3 counts | Bond: $350,000

Officials say this remains an active and ongoing investigation, and additional arrests are expected.

Bridgeport Task Force Arrests Man in Armed Drug Trafficking Investigation

During the month of November 2025, the Bridgeport Police Department Task Force, working in collaboration with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, launched an investigation into Ralph Cora, 42, based on evidence he was trafficking narcotics while armed with an illegal firearm. Investigators determined Cora was allegedly distributing drugs into the west side of Bridgeport while operating out of Naugatuck and using a dark blue 2010 BMW X3 as his primary vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, search and seizure warrants were obtained for Cora, his vehicle, and a residence connected to the case in Naugatuck. On November 25, 2025, Bridgeport Police Task Force officers assigned to the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Connecticut State Police Gang Unit, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance from the Naugatuck Police Department, executed the warrants. During the searches, officers recovered approximately 80 suspected ecstasy pills, several grams of crack cocaine packaged for street-level sales, quantities of marijuana, one illegal firearm equipped with a high-capacity magazine, numerous rounds of illegal ammunition, an additional firearm, high-capacity magazines, and U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from narcotics trafficking.

Based on the evidence gathered, investigators determined that Cora was actively engaged in narcotics trafficking and that the firearm was used to protect and facilitate the illegal drug operation. Later that same day, under the direction of Detective Carlos Vazquez, officers located and took Ralph Cora into custody in the 500 block of Park Avenue in Bridgeport. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell.

Suspicious Items Get Bomb Squad Attention

A discovery of suspicious items inside a vacant home on Ocean Avenue in Stratford brought the Stamford Bomb Squad to Stratford on Monday afternoon, prompting a precautionary response by authorities.

According to unconfirmed reports, an eviction notice had recently been served at the residence, the home was unoccupied at the time of the response. Inside, investigators located several firearms and quantities of ammunition. However, it was an unidentified item found within the home that ultimately triggered the bomb squad call for further evaluation.

Out of an abundance of caution, the area was secured while specialists assessed the situation. No injuries were reported, and officials have not released further details on the nature of the suspicious item as the investigation remains ongoing.

The incident comes just one week after a deadly and unrelated standoff in Stamford, where a man took his own life during a police response connected to an eviction situation. That case, handled by the Stamford Police Department, ended tragically after a prolonged confrontation.

Norwalk Man Arrested for Impersonating Police Officer During Fake Traffic Stop

Norwalk Police arrested Julio Rodriguez De Jesus, 58, after he allegedly impersonated a police officer and used blue and red flashing lights to pull over a motorist on Mulvoy Street late Friday night, December 5, 2025. The victim reported that a black Nissan Rogue activated emergency-style lighting and followed him until he pulled over, but after waiting several minutes without contact, the vehicle drove off. Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle parked on Ely Avenue and identified Rodriguez De Jesus as the driver.

During their investigation, police discovered operational strobe light bars mounted inside the vehicle along with a dash camera wired into the 12-volt port. Officers also determined Rodriguez De Jesus was under the influence of alcohol and in possession of Alprazolam pills not stored in their original container. He was charged with multiple offenses including impersonating a police officer, DUI, illegal use of flashing lights, drug possession, and breach of peace. He is being held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 19, 2025. Detectives are now seeking additional potential victims.
