1:01am–#Trumbull CT–#cttraffic–Report of a rollover accident northbound near exit 48 on the Merritt Parkway. Trumbull Police on scene confirming the driver is safely out of the vehicle. EMS dispatched as a precautionary, the driver is not complaining of any injuries at this time.
Person possibly shot on Sanford Place
11:33pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police are investigating a possible shooting. Witness told police that a person came out of 120 Sanford Place holding their stomach saying “I’ve been hit! I’ve been hit”. Witnesses said the person then walked down Vine Street towards Park Avenue. A blood trail was followed by police down Vine Street, then north on Park Avenue. The blood trail ended at the middle of the road in front of 1274 Park Avenue. No victim has been located and no gunshot victim has reported to any of the hospitals hospitals. Firefighters were called to force entry into an apartment at 120 Sanford Place. UPDATE–The victim did show up at Bridgeport Hospital, which is much further away than St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Bridgeport Homicide–Updated with video
4:13am–#Bridgeport, CT — May 12, 2013 — Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting this morning on Berkshire Avenue at Noble Avenue. The name of the victim is Robert Rivera, 22, of Bridgeport.
Police responded to the area at 4:13 a.m. today on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers observed a silver Ford Fusion parked on Berkshire, just west of Noble. The vehicle had multiple bullet holes in its left, front window and door area. Inside the vehicle police found a male who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by AMR personnel.
Detectives have a tentative identification on the victim. It is not yet being released pending verification and notification of his family. At this time, no motive has been established and detectives remain on scene.
Cesar A. Batalla School Vandalized
#Bridgeport CT–A couple of art rooms were vandalized by 6 youths on bicycles, entry was made through a window at Cesar Batalla School at 606 Howard Ave. Art paint and items were thrown around the rooms. The youths were 11 to 13 years old. School Resource Police said the video systems were on and they would identify the students with school officials in the morning.
Attempted abduction
#Bridgeport CT–Police are looking for a purple Honda Accord for an attempted abduction of a woman on East Main Street and Arctic Street. The woman was able to escape.
Chinese Nationalist Buzzes Bridgeport Power Plant
5:20pm–#Bridgeport CT #FBI–Police received a call from security at the Bridgeport power plant that the plant was being recorded by a remote control airplane that had a camera onboard. The airplane was being flown by a Chinese Nationalist who is in the country on an extended student visa. The student has already graduated from a nearby university and was permitted to stay in the country. Sources tell me the remote plane was “pretty sophisticated” but crashed into the water behind the power plant. Police had contacted the Homeland Security who contacted the FBI who are on the way to investigate.

5:20pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police called by the power plant on 1 Atlantic Street for a person recording the power plant with a remote controlled airplane.
