Police UPDATE: The department can confirm that on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at approximately 3:20 PM that Trumbull Police and EMS responded to 155 White Plains Road for a tree cut accident that resulted in the death of a sixty-six-year-old male. Trumbull Police and EMS arrived at the scene minutes after receiving the initial 911 call, but the male had succumbed to his injuries suffered by a large tree branch.Emergency responders were called after a man was fatally injured in a tree-related accident on White Plains Road in Trumbull. The youth was apprehended just after 8:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, near his home after he ran from detectives who approached him to serve the active arrest warrant. He was charged with Attempted Assault 1st Degree, and Illegal Discharge of a Firearm, Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree, as well as other related crimes. The boy was one of several teenagers who were involved in a dispute inside the shopping mall on December 26, 2025, and was identified as the shooter following the police investigation.
