Weston Remains Positively ID’s The Navin’s And Additional Arrest

Weston, CT (October, 30, 2015): The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner positively identified the human remains as that of Jeffrey Navin (DOB 3/24/1959) and Jeanette Navin (2/1/1960), the couple reported missing from Easton on August 4, 2015.

Through the course of their investigation detectives from Western District Major Crime (WDMC) applied for, and were granted an arrest warrant by the Bridgeport Superior Court for Kyle Navin and Jennifer Valiante. n October 30Jennifer Valiante, 2015 at approximately 8:00 p.m. Jennifer Valiante was taken into custody at her residence, and transported to Troop G-Bridgeport where she was processed. Upon completion of processing, Jennifer Valiante was transported to New Haven detention where she was held on bond pending her court date.

Arrested: Jennifer Valiante (DOB 05/26/1984) 4 Reichert Circle Westport, Ct.

Charges: Conspiracy to Commit Murder 53a-48/53a-54a  Hiindering Prosecution in the First Degree 53a-165aa

Court: Bridgeport Superior Court November 2, 2015 Bond: $2 million

There is an active arrest for Kyle Navin. Kyle Navin is currently being held in Federal custody.

Warrant: Kyle Navin (DOB 8/19/1988) 142 Aldine Ave. Bridgeport, Ct. Charges: Murder 53a-54a (2 counts) Murder with Special Circumstances (53a-54b(7)) Bond: $2.5 million

The Navin’s family has asked for privacy at this time.

 

 

State Police Arrest Westport Woman Possibly In Connection To Bodies Found in Weston

#Westport CT–#Weston CT– Very heavy  State and Westport Police on Reichert Circle in Westport tonight.  Unconfirmed reports say a woman was arrested in connection to the two  bodies found at at 89 Norfield Road in Weston, possibly Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin who have been missing since August 4th.

 

Man Exposing Himself On I-95

4:40pm–#cttraffic–Report of a white male with sunglasses in a black Mazda exposing himself as he drives northbound on I-95 near exit 24.  It is highly doubful he is dress as a turtle for Halloween.  Caller lost him past exit 25 it is unknown if he got off any exit.  You can’t blame this one on Bridgeport, his plate comes back to Shelton.  The cop that shows up will not be a trick or treater…….

#Weston CT– State Police Spokesperson Trooper Kelly Grant confirmed that the remains found at 89 Northfield Road in Weston are in fact human.  An unconfirmed but highly reliable source to DoingItLocal.com told us that the remains are in fact that of Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin.  Jeffrey Navin, 56, is president of J&J Refuse, and his wife Jeanette Navin, 55 is a Weston Intermediate School library paraprofessional. They have been missing since August 4th. No word on any suspects at this time.

 

Police were cautious in confirming information.  They did confirm that the remains of two people were found outside 89 Northfield Road.  They did check inside the residence with the owner’s permission but found nothing.  The house was empty for about ten years they said.  They would not confirm any information if the homeowner knows the Navin family or if any clothing has been recovered.

Bridgeport Police Department Investigates Marijuana Producing Residence

Bridgeport, Conn. (October 27, 2015 Press Release) — The Bridgeport Police Department announced an investigation into a residence with multiple marijuana plants.  On October 25,, 2015 at around 4:35 p.m., the Bridgeport Police Department received a call about a reported burglary in progress at a residence on Reservoir Ave. near the corner of Victory Ave.  Upon arrival, police officers found a side door at the residence that appeared to have been forced open.  Police officers believed the burglary suspect was inside the residence and conducted a search of the premises.  Searching for the suspect, police officers found approximately 20 marijuana plants in a room upstairs.

 

Conducting a sweep of the basement, police officers located a door that appeared forced open.  In the basement police officers found two rooms with materials used to produce marijuana including extensive ventilation ducts, electrical wiring, heat lamps, potting soil, and discarded marijuana plants.  No suspect was found during the search.  Witnesses reported that a Hispanic male had been living at the residence for approximately 6 months and had been seen recently.  Police officers obtained a warrant for the residence and seized all evidence.
