10:19pm–#Fairfield CT–Firefighters on scene at 111 Pratt Street for a fire under a porch in the back of the house.  Two occupants were rescued on initial search and relocated to a neighbors house.  Firefighters quickly extinguish the fire.

4:10pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police are investigating a shootout at Stratford and Central Avenue near the Optimus Healthcare and library.  Radio reports say one person shot in the stomach on the way to Bridgeport Hospital in a private vehicle.  Shell casings have been located by the library.  A gray Nissan Altima was seen fleeing the scene.

La policía está investigando un tiroteo en Stratford y la Avenida Central, cerca de la Optimus Salud y biblioteca. Informes de radio dicen que una persona disparó en el estómago en el camino hacia el Hospital Bridgeport en un vehículo privado. Casquillos de bala han sido localizados por la biblioteca. 12:25pm–#Stratford CT–Firefighters extinguished a fire at 229 Plymouth Street.  The fire started in the basement and extended to other part of the house.  Firefighters required  three hoses to get the fire under control.  The occupants had evacuated the building prior to firefighter’s arrival.

 

Los bomberos extinguen un incendio en 229 Plymouth Street. El fuego comenzó en el sótano y se extendió a otra parte de la casa. Los bomberos requieren tres mangueras para obtener el fuego bajo control. Los ocupantes habían evacuado el edificio antes de los bomberos de la llegada.

1:42pm–#Bridgeport CT–One person was shot OUTSIDE Big Daddy’s Deli on 2498 East Main Street. The area is closed to traffic while police investigate.  The person shot was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, code two which means it is NOT life threatening.  I don’t know what part of the body the person was shot at this time.   Police are looking for a gray  Nissan Murano with heavy tinted windows, it fled north on Noble Avenue.  As always, it’s first on DoingItLocal.com, so as soon as I get more information I’ll let you know!

 

12:46pm–#Bridgeport CT–A woman in the 400 block of Wilmont Street called police that an older woman with glasses, burgundy and brown sweater carrying a brown coat attempted to enter her home through a side window. She fled west on Connecticut Avenue.

UPDATE: Police are looking for a black BMW 5 Series with CT plates 849WZW and a Gray Volkswagen Jetta with CT Plates 263ZBM in connection to the break in.  The BMW plates are expired.

12:11pm–#Trumbull CT– An Aspen Lane mom home with her two children hears glass break and calls police.  Police quickly arrive and find a broken slider door on the side of the house.  No one is in the house or on the property at this time.  If you live in the area and your motion lights go on for no apparent reason you may want to call police.
