7:33pm–#Trumbull CT–Report of a car crashing into a utility pole in front of 70 Moose Hill Road.
Distraction works to steal new bike
6:04pm–#Fairfield CT–Two males and a female distracted employees at Zane’s Bikes, formerly Trek Bicycles at 1215 Post Rd, Fairfield while a third accomplice swipes a new bicycle from the store. Police are investigating.
Video game promo draws Fairfield Police response
4:49pm–#Fairfield CT–Multiple police were dispatched to the Game Stop on Black Rock Turnpike for a man with a gun. As police were on the way it was thought to be a toy gun according to the caller. Police taking no chances approached the scene with caution with assault weapons at the ready. Police confirmed it was a man in costume for the the promotional release of the video game Call of Duty -Ghost. The man hired by the store for the promotion remained on scene, too shaken to talk to us. The manager asked me to leave the store offering no insight to the thinking on this promotion.
Central Connecticut State University was on lock down most of the afternoon for a man seen with a gun and sword. The people standing in line waiting for the release of the game knew it was a promotion but people in the other parts of the plaza did not it and a couple of witnesses told me they were alarmed.
Structure fire in Bridgeport

Batteries and tires stolen from bus company

Kitchen fire
12:43pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters on the way to 55 Dixon Street where there was a kitchen fire. They will be checking to see if the fire extended elsewhere.
13 year old heroin overdose
12:26pm–#Trumbull CT–First responders on Academy Road for a thirteen year old girl overdosing on heroin. The mother called 911 after talking to her on the phone and she “was out of it”.
Fairfield Accident
12:22pm–#Fairfield CT–#cttraffic–First responders on the way to an accident on Route 59 near Hi-Ho Motel.
Bridgeport Servpro Facility Officially Open
With video–Servpro of Trumbull/Monroe & N. Bridgeport was very excited to have Mayor Finch celebrate our new facility in Bridgeport with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Joe Pelli, owner of the Servpro franchises, covering Trumbull/Monroe, N. Bridgeport, Westport/Fairfield, Norwalk/Wilton, Stamford and Greenwich has been in the Fire, Water and Mold-Cleanup & Restoration business for over 30 years. Joe along with Mayor Finch spoke to the crowd announcing the new location then gave a tour of the office and warehouse. The new Bridgeport facility, now accompanying Joe’s original Stamford location, gives Servpro the opportunity to continue to grow in the communities and assist at an even quicker rate. Having two facilities will help customers feel “Like it never even happened ™”.
