Norwalk News: Manhunt

#Norwalk CT–Police are looking for a blue Volkswagen Passat with CT plate # 1KWT4 after an attempted traffic stop near School Street. A passenger got out of the car, reached to his waist like he had a gun, but none was seen. The driver took off at a high rate of speed. The plate comes back to a red Dodge van so apparently the VW was stolen.

Stratford News: Stabbed In The Heart

#Stratford CT–A little after midnight police were called to a domestic altercation (fight) at 2590 Broadbridge Avenue where a man in his mid twenties was stabbed in the heart. There is not a lot of information on this at this early hour but police told me it did not appear to be life threatening. EMS transported him to St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Fairfield News: Possible Chimney Fire

7:02pm–#Fairfield CT–Firefighters called to 180 Bryberry Road for a possible chimney fire, smoke filling the home. On arrival firefighters find a fire in the fireplace and the chimney operating properly. They continue to investigate.

Fairfield News: Attempted Break In Thwarted

UPDATE: Pedro Bruno, arrested in Fairfield for burglary January 7th was wanted for a string of burglaries in Stratford. Only DoingItLocal.com was on the scene when Fairfield Police arrested him.

3:50pm–#Fairfield CT–Police received a 911 call from a girl on Warwick Avenue that she had locked herself in the bathroom and that her father was downstairs yelling to her to call 911. Police was very quickly on scene and apprehended one suspect. Other officer arriving found jewelry and wallets tossed into a yard around the corner at Jackman and Bennett Street. The suspect did not speak English and a translator from the Connecticut State Police were called to the scene. According to radio reports the homeowner positively identified the suspect.

La policía recibió una llamada al 911 de un chica en Warwick Avenue Que ella se había encerrado en el baño y ella Que padre fue abajo gritando a ella para llamar al 911. 2:22am–#Bridgeport CT–Police on patrol prevent a man from setting a car on fire at Coleman and Olive Street, suspect left gas can INSIDE the car and then ran off. Officer request K-9 to track but after following suspects footprints in the snow discover he took off in a car.
