Bridgeport New: Another Major Structure Fire
1:06pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters are once again on scene of a major structure fire at 108 Arctic Street, a 3 family house. First reports said the house was abandoned but witnesses told me everyone made out of the building but they did not know the status of the dogs that resided inside. The evacuation tone was heard which means all firefighters evacuated the building and make an exterior attack. All firefighters were accounted for when they held roll call. Visibility was limited due to the heavy smoke and thick air that kept the smoke close to the structure. Firefighters were still scene when I left the scene, of course I will let you know as soon as I get any further updates.
#Westport CT–On Monday, March 2, 2015 Charles .J Sampson was sworn in as a Westport Police Officer by First Selectman Jim Marpe .The ceremony was held at Town Hall.
Officer Sampson comes to the Westport Police Department from the Waterbury Police Department where he served for 22 years. Officer Sampson is a Certified Ct Firefighter and the past Fire Chief of the Derby Fire Department and current Director of Derby’s Emergency Management Office.

849pm–#Bridgeport CT–One person was assaulted and robbed of his wallet and iPod in the 300 block of Cottage Street. The three male suspects fled down Iranistan Avenue then split up according to witnesses.
