10:03pm–#Bridgeport CT– A person has been shot in the stomach on Beardsley Street at Newfield Avenue. Police and detectives have just begun their investigation.

6:00PMish–#Monroe CT– The Peoples’ Bank at 435 Main Street (Route 25) was robbed. A brown handgun was shown. The suspect fled in the cab of a tractor trailer.
3:13pm–#Trumbull CT– Police received numerous reports of shots fired on Quarry Road. A short time later police on duty at St. Vincent’s Hospital called to report a blue car showed up with a victim of a gunshot wound. Trumbull police have located shell casings at White Plains and Quarry Road.

1:24pm–#Bridgeport CT– This driver didn’t have a prayer after being cut off on Bishop Avenue and hit the Christian Revival Assembly of God church at 441 Bishop Avenue. There were two injuries including a pregnant woman. Both were transported to the hospital. The church did not appear to suffer any structural damage.
1:50pm–#Bridgeport CT– A crash on Greenfield Avenue at Drake Avenue (just off Nichols Avenue). A person is reported to be unresponsive in the car. A utility pole has also been hit with wires reported down in the area.
#Westport CT–In late August of 2017, the Westport Police Department received a sexual assault complaint from a juvenile victim. The victim reported being sexually assaulted by a tutor over a period of time.
The tutor was identified as Juan Torres Jr, age 40, of Waterbury, CT. The victim further reported Torres took nude photos of the victim. On September 9th, Westport Detectives executed a search warrant on Torres’ residence in Waterbury. Detectives discovered evidence at the residence which corroborated the victim’s complaint. Torres was taken into custody later that evening at the Waterbury Police Department. He was transported to the Westport Police Department where he was processed and charged with Risk of Injury to a Child (12 counts), Sexual Assault 2 nd degree (10 counts) and Sexual Assault 4 th degree. Torres was released after posting $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on 09/18/17.
