1:34pm–#Bridgeport CT– It was mulch/wood chips on fire at 3740 Madison Avenue, not a structure fire as first reported.  Firefighters quickly took care of the situation.

UPDATE: Suspect John Douglas Monroe allegedly shot a woman, and 2 New Haven officers Police made entry to the home and shot Monroe, he is in serious condition , but stable condition at Yale New Haven Hospital. The officerd shot are expected to be okay. One was grazed by a bullet in the elbow and another officer was shot it the arm.

UPDATE: We are told that one officer was grazed in the elbow by gunfire and the second officer was shot in the arm and is expected to be okay.  Officers including ATF agents are on scene and it is still and active scene at a home on Elm Street.

 

 

11:31am–#New Haven CT– We have mutilple reports of two New Haven Police Officers being shot in an incident on Orchard Street.  I will update you as more information becomes available.

 

2:14am–#Bridgeport CT– A person was pepper-sprayed and robbed on Wall Street between the parking garage and the Holiday Inn.
