11:20pm–#Bridgeport CT– The “Polite Pursuit” came to an end at Arlington and Madison, the same spot where the pursuit the other night came to an end. The driver just pulled the car over. The pursuit began on Lindley Street area, down Park Avenue, Wood Avenue and a tour of the East Side before returning to the Madison Avenue exit. It was a slow speed pursuit with the driver slowing at all intersections which is why I dubbed it the Polite Pursuit. Police have two in custody.
11:09pm–#Bridgeport CT– A 30-40mph pursuit starting on Lindley Street down to Charles and Park Avenue. The driver is slowing for intersections. The driver keeps heading back to Lindley until heading on the East Side from River Street now on William Street.

#Fairfield CT–On Sunday 01/20/19 at 10:53pm the Fairfield Police Dispatch Center began receiving radio transmissions that a Fairfield Police Officer was just involved in a serious motor vehicle collision on Kings Hwy Cutoff near New England Avenue while he was on his way to work. The driver of the other vehicle, later identified as James Crowther (DOB: 12/15/1969) was traveling the wrong way heading east-bound in the west-bound lane of Kings Hwy Cutoff when it collided into the front end of the officer’s off duty vehicle which was traveling west bound on Kings Hwy Cutoff. At the scene, Crowther showed signs of intoxication, but both drivers were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. On Tuesday 01/22/19, A Bridgeport Superior Court Judge signed a search warrant for blood and urine samples and medical records of James Crowther. The medical records of James Crowther revealed a BAC of .29 and a POSITIVE presence of Benzodiazepines at the time of the collision on 01/20/2019. On 02/06/2019 James Crowther of Grovers Avenue Bridgeport, CT turned himself in on an active arrest warrant from the collision that occurred on 01/20/2019. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, Failure to Obtain a Connecticut Driver License after thirty Days of Residing Within the State, and Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road. #Bridgeport CT–Llesha O’Connor, mother of Sujata Lee Edward who was killed last night on William Street said she never got to say goodbye to her daughter. She said her children were with her in the home that they own when the shooting took place. According to the Connecticut Post: “There had been a fight outside the home earlier in the evening, involving Edwards’ son and an ex-girlfriend who brought a large group of people with her, O’Connor said. Once the fight ended, the group left, she said. But the family suspects they came back later, armed. Edwards was shot as she looked out the second-floor window while her 17-year-old daughter was walking to the teen’s father’s car, O’Connor said. “My daughter went to that window up there to watch her daughter get in her father’s car and bullets just started coming,” O’Connor said. “I sat and watched my daughter get hit with a bullet in her chest, maybe more than one, and she fell.”
Llesha said her daughter was nicknamed “Smiley” because she was always smiling, never a frown. She will miss her daughter’s infectious laugh when things were really funny. You could hear her all over the street when she laughed.
Police are uncertain if this was accidental or intended but they are investigating. This is the city’s fourth homicide of the year, the second to die this week.

#Bridgeport CT–On February 5, 2019 at 1947 hours, shots were fired at 660 William Street. Patrol officers immediately responded to the scene and located a 37 year old female on the second floor of a home at this location, who sustained at least one gunshot wound to the torso. The victim appears to have been shot through a second floor window. Officers began CPR on the victim and continued to assist medics with the administration of CPR until she was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. Shortly after arrival at the hospital, the victim was pronounced dead. Detectives are processing a crime scene at this location and are interviewing witnesses. We are working to establish a motive and are unsure at this time whether the victim was the intended target.
