12:40pm–#Westport CT–#cttraffic–A crash on I-95 southbound between exits 19 and 18 just north of exit 18. So far no traffic delays but the trucks with the shiny lights haven’t shown up to give people something to look at and slow down! Vehicles in the left and right breakdown lanes.

#Westport, CT – Effective immediately, the Westport Yard Waste site, located at 180 Bayberry Lane, will operate with reduced hours as follows:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
This schedule will be in effect until March 4, 2019, when regular hours will resume.
Christmas trees will continue to be accepted from Westport residents at the Yard Waste site during winter hours of operation.

2:35pm–A man has escaped from the Golden Hill Courthouse on Golden Hill Street during a parole hearing. The judge raised his bond and he fled the courthouse knocking down an employee according to radio reports. Police are looking for a light-skinned black male wearing jeans, black hoodie with a neck tattoo.

10PMish–#Bridgeport CT– Police nab ATM thieves who were using a cutting torch to cut into an ATM at Bank of America at 2091 Boston Avenue. Police responded when the alarm at the ATM activated to the alarm company who notified police. The suspects fled down Boston Avenue, through city streets with police right behind them. They got on I-95 exiting in Fairfield where they ran through town and then back onto I-95 northbound where state police entered the pursuit. Spike strips were set up at exit 34. I don’t know if the hit the strips but they did get off exit 34, back onto I-95 southbound where the pursuit came to an end near exit 29. One suspect was quickly taken into custody, the second suspect was taken into custody after a brief manhunt. One Bridgeport Police Officer received minor injuries. The suspects gained entry into the ATM’s first door but did not gain entry to the second door of the ATM.

#Fairfield CT–On 02/03/2019 at 09:23 PM the Fairfield Police Department received a 911 call from 54 Catamount Rd. which was believed to be a domestic disturbance. Initial officers arrived on scene and found a serious domestic assault took place inside the home and quickly took the suspect into custody. During the initial investigation officers located a female victim deceased on the scene. Detectives are currently interviewing the suspect, in addition to other witnesses that were involved. At this time, there is no threat to public safety. All parties involved are in the custody of the Fairfield Police Department. This case is currently under investigation by the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau. State Police Major Crime Unit is processing the scene.

Republican Hunchu Kwak of West Hartford, a native of Korea and a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the University of Connecticut School of Law
Democrat John M. Newson, of Brooklyn, a former public defender and lifetime member of the NAACP who graduated from the University of Rhode Island and the Western New England College School of Law.
Republican Lisa Kelly Morgan of Wethersfield. She is a graduate of Villanova University and the UConn School of Law and is the former head of her own law firm, Ruben, Morgan & Horan.
“I am very proud of the work we accomplished today in the General Assembly to reappoint a diverse and highly-qualified group of Connecticut Superior Court judges,” said Sen. 10:05pm–#Bridgeport CT– A woman called first responders to her home in the 700 block of Lindley Street stating she was shot. EMS treated/evaluated and released the woman who was bruised and grazed. The incident took place near Boston Avenue near Orchard Street. It appears her Jeep took the brunt of the shots as police were inspecting her vehicle for bullet holes.

El incidente era cerca de la Avenida Boston, cerca de la Calle Orchard. Parece que su Jeep tomó la peor parte de los disparos cuando la policía inspeccionaba su vehículo tenia huecos causados por las balas.
