Governor Ned Lamont is directing Connecticut’s extreme hot weather protocol to be activated beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, and remaining in effect through 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022. The purpose of the protocol is to ensure that the most vulnerable populations receive protection from the hot conditions. While enacted, a system is set up for state agencies, municipalities, and other partners to coordinate with United Way 2-1-1 to make sure that information regarding cooling centers is available statewide, providing a location to get some relief from the hot conditions.

2022-08-02@11:04am–#Bridgeport CT– A viewer sent in this photo in the 3000 block of Fairfield Avenue of the damage to a downed utility pole right after a car hit it…down the street from TuttiMango. The traffic is able to pass with caution.
2022-8-02@10:55am–#Milford CT– Report of a tree falling on a man at Dairy Farm Court. The man was able to free himself but he has a broken lower leg and head injuries. Yesterday a large tree limb fell on 3 children at the Sterling House Day Camp located at 2283 Main Street inuring them.
On July 29, 2022 Bernard was brought before the court and charged with Sexual Assault in the 1st Degree and Risk of Injury to a Minor. Bond is set at $300,000.
In February Bernard was prosecuted. The state prosecutor said He used his position at a local church to abuse two children with one case lasting over ten years.
RE: Bridgeport Police Department SVU Unit case No. 22D-0459. On July 29, 2022 Bernard was brought before the court and charged with Sexual Assault in the 1st Degree, Sexual Assault in the 4th Degree, and Risk of Injury to a Minor. Bond is set at $500,000. This victims in these two cases are children.

(Hartford, CT) – Attorney General William Tong released the following statement regarding a United Illuminating notice with the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority filed today seeking to raise rates as much as 8 percent over three years. New rates would take effect after September 2023.
“Connecticut families pay far too much for their energy, and a rate increase at this time will only make that worse. My office will intervene on behalf of consumers, and we intend to aggressively scrutinize every charge and assumption in search of savings,” said Attorney General Tong.
