Trumbull News: Burlar With A Gun Then Manhunt

10:56pm--#Trumbull CT--- #Bridgeport CT-- There was a manhunt in Old Town/Chopsey Hill area for two Hispanic males wanted in robbery, a firearm was displayed which Trumbull Police recovered.  After a manhunt for about an hour in the wooded areas police apprehended both suspects.  Bridgeport Police assisted in the manhunt and translation.   This report is made possible by a news tip from our sponsor:

Bridgeport News: Store Robbed At Gunpoint

9:38pm--#Bridgeport CT-- An armed robbery by two masked men at 616 William Street.  Radio reports saying it was Junco's which Google lists as Junco and Son Meat Market, it was not Bayamon Market according to the radio.  The robbers fled in a dark Jeep Cherokee east on Ogden Street.  There is an accident on Noble and Ogden which is not related to this call.  3 ambulance have been sent to that accident.   This report is made possible by:

Bridgeport News: McClosing

#Bridgeport CT-- The McDonalds at 1025 Main Street is closing.  In other news, there was a McDonald's downtown.....The Trefz family who owns the McDonalds since 2003 also owns the Holiday Inn across the street.  It is reported that all the employees at the location accepted positions at other McDonalds.  The Trefz family owns 43 other McDonalds in Connecticut and New York.

Malloy today announced that the State of Connecticut is making dramatic new investments in affordable housing across the state, with several projects anticipated to receive nearly $78 million in state bond funding in an effort to help towns and cities foster economic growth, create livable communities, and attract businesses.   The investments build on the already considerable expansion of quality, affordable housing the Governor has initiated over the past several years in communities statewide.  Since the beginning of the Malloy administration in 2011, the state has provided funding to build 17,897 housing units across Connecticut.  In just 2015 alone, the state made investments to help create, rehabilitate, and preserve 11,881 housing units statewide.  …
