DoingItLocal Assists Chief Radzimirski With Arrest
1:22pm–#Fairfield CT–#Bridgeport CT– Earlier today I reported the theft of a backpack leaf blower on Nordstrand Avenue (off Melville Avenue). I posted the report and thought nothing more of it, that is until I heard a dispatch on the Bridgeport Police radio. Chief Radzimirski was on the road and spotted a man driving a bicycle with the heavy Husqvarna backpack leaf blower and thought it was suspicious and pulled him over and detained him at East Washington Avenue and Knollton Street. Connecting the dots I called both police departments to let them know of each other’s calls. Fairfield Police went to the scene with the owner of the landscaping company and sure enough it was his leaf blower. I also went to the scene , I had no clue it was ChiefRadzimirski who apprehended him until the Bridgeport Officers told me. Last month I located a stolen landscaper truck taken from Fairfield in Bridgeport. Hmmmmm……….
