Mayor Q&A in The Hollow Scheduled

Mayor Finch will visit with residents of The Hollow neighborhood in his continuing series of Community Cabinet meetings on Monday, Aug. 26 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the cafeteria at Geraldine Johnson School, 475 Lexington Avenue. All Hollow residents are welcome to attend to hear from Mayor Finch about progress on City initiatives and projects. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation. Community Cabinet meetings are also planned in the following neighborhoods: ·       North End on Sept. 12, 6 to 7:30 p.m., Discovery Interdistrict Magnet School, 4510 Park Avenue ·       Brooklawn/St. Vincent’s on Sept. 26, 6 to 7:30 p.m.; location to be determined. 5:59pm--#Trumbull CT--Security at the Westfield Mall in Trumbull reported to police that a man exposed himself at the Oriental Gifts store.  Security did wait two hours to report the incident to police.

Manhunt in Bridgeport

10:55pm--#Bridgeport CT #Faifield CT--If you live near St. Stephen's Road and wondering why there are so many Fairfield Police cars it is because they are tracking hit and run driver.  The driver hit a car in Fairfield and tried to elude police in  a pursuit.  The driver fled on foot on Brewster Street and K-9 is tracking the man to this area.

Westport Volunteer EMS Offers Free Hands-Only CPR Classes

Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service (WVEMS) announces it will be offering free Hands-Only CPR training sessions for the general public. Students will learn how to perform hands-only CPR (no mouth-to-mouth) for an adult who does not show signs of life, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and how to assist an adult who is choking and cannot breathe. Hands-Only CPR takes only 30 minutes to learn; it is NOT a certification-level class.   Classes will take place on August 29 at 6:30PM and 7:00PM, and on September 20 at 9:00AM and 9:30AM, in the training classroom of the Westport Police/EMS Headquarters building, located at 50 Jesup Road.
